Surpassed my expectations

Just fantastic! I love how flexible this is. This is genuine leather.Things I love, the pockets have distinctly different textures, so when I am feeling through my bag whilst driving or in the dark I can tell which pocket is which.The zippers inside move great. Nothing ruins a handbag more than stuttering zippers, zippers that eat the lining, zippers that require two hands.The flexibility. I love that it is not stiff. I love that if I move, it moves. I love that I can practically fold this baby down to shove in my drawer at work or a tiny locker.I love that both pockets can flip outside of the purse for ease of finding my stuff. (In the second two photos, the pockets flipping out).I like how reactive the magnet enclosure is. I don't even think about attaching the two pieces and before I know it they are getting cozy.The stitching is fantastic. It looks good. From down and dirty to dressed up. The lining is quiet. You might not think about it, but if you ever owned a purse with noisy lining or noisy straps you pay attention to it in every other bag you see.I wish the straps were just an inch longer to go over my winter coat sleeve, but it can make it up to my shoulder, just a bit of inching.I am really impressed with this bag. The brown or cognac is very attractive. Nice soft leather.Don't judge my purse contents, it was a long day and weird crap accumulated.

Large purse or small tote bag. Nice construction. Zippered center section.

Photo with soda can for scale.I am somewhat confused by this purse as it feels like high quality leather, buttery soft and flexible and has that real leather smell. But it is marked “genuine leather” which is one of the lowest qualities of leather (in general, the whole labeling thing is complex, see below) The inside has a zippered section for valuables and two side pockets that are not closed. There is a magnetic clasp that goes across both sides to hold the two parts together.It feels a bit casual as is is a tad “floppy” and the top edges of the leather on the outside are a bit rough, but it does look nice, just not very formal.Comes with a little medallion on a leather strap. (You can see it hanging off the top of the handle in my photo)This is big for a purse and small for a tote bag. I like this sort of bag to take when travelling by plane as I put my purse inside and then have space for other items and count it as a “personal item”.The price tag on this was two hundred dollars. That is a tad high for the quality of the purse, but half that would be reasonable. Current price not listed so I cannot speak to value.Leather definitions:Leather comes in different qualities, and the names are hard to remember and grading leather is not straightforward because it also depends on the manufacturer, but as a rule of thumb you can use the definitions below..The lowest quality is “genuine leather” that just means it is made out of leather bonded together.Next is top grain leather, its made by splitting full grain leather and sanding away imperfections.Best quality is full grain leather, this is the sort that is made from the whole hide, it often has imperfections but ages really well, full grain is the kind that gets better with age.Avoid things like “bonded leather” which is scraps glued together.

A Soft, Roomy, Unstructured Leather Bag.

This is a genuine leather bag, which I received in the color black. The black is dark, but not richly saturated, so it appears as almost a deep espresso brown. In sunlight you can tell that it is black, but indoors, well, as I said the color is less distinct. The leather is very soft and pliable. (It also comes with a cloth storage bag.)It is a shoulder bag, but the straps are by no means long. They have enough length to hang on the shoulder, certainly. However, if you are wearing a very heavy coat (say a puffer style), you might find them a bit short.For added security, the bag has three inner compartments with a full zipper in the middle one, and zipper pocket on the back (inner) wall of the bag. There is also a snap at the top of the bag to keep it closed. It is a very roomy bag, but things do fall to the bottom of it.There is no "structure" to the bag at all. It reminds me of the Sak brand of pocketbooks. (Hopefully that description helps you get a better idea of how it looks when you're wearing it.)Though some of the above sound like negatives, none of them made a difference to me in terms of quality or wearability.I can't address cost in the review, since that is not listed on the product page at the moment, and I received the bag for review purposes.Overall, I think it is a high quality bag, soft, roomy, and unstructured. If that's the type of item you're looking for, I think you'll be happy with this one.

LOVE THIS SHOULDER BAG!!

KOMPANERO BLACK GENUINE LEATHER SHOULDER BAGThis is a super nice and high quality bag. It is genuine leather and you can definitely tell it is of high caliber. It is super soft. It has a vintage and used look which is awesome. It looks well loved...and it will be!The purse measures 18"L x 14"W. There is plenty of room inside to store everything you need and then some. On the inside back area there is a sturdy and zippered storage area for your items. The inside is separated by another canvas holder which also zippers. There is a strong and sturdy magnetic clasp to keep your purse closed. You can carry the bag by hand or sling up and over your shoulder. There is a heavy medallion on the one strap stating the company name -- it can easily be removed if you wish. The inside has a nice cotton lining.The bag is sturdy and very stylish. It also comes with a storage bag when not in use. However, this is such a nice bag I don't think I will be using the storage bag very often! A statement on a tag stresses not to expose to excessive heat and to please keep away from oily and greasy surfaces.This is a fantastic bag for yourself or as a gift for someone. I do not know if it is available in other colors. However, I love the black and will use this as both a dressy and casual bag. It is such high quality! Treat yourself!
