Best shoes ever! READ THIS TO LEARN HOW TO ELIMINATE THE SQUEAK!!

First off I have to say I LOVE these shoes with a passion. I ended up buying 3 more pairs of Alegrias in different styles within a month because of how good my feeT feel when I wear these. I have issues with my large toe joint on one foot (hallux limitus) and plantar fasciitis on the other foot. I had the fasciitis on the other foot in the past so I knew as soon as it started this time to get really good shoes. Wearing only Alegria shoes for the last 2 months has helped my condition to not get any worse. They aren't healing it, but they are keeping it from getting any worse. Any time I have tried to wear another style of shoe I instantly feel pain in my heel, but never when I wear the Alegrias.The sizing can be tricky. In my experience, I wear a solid 9 in most shoes, sometimes even a 9.5, but only if a shoe runs a little small. All 4 of my Alegrias (the Paloma, the Classic clog, the Belle, and the Kaitlyn) are sized 39. In the classic clog I have plenty of room, especially once they got worn in (i wear these all the time in the house because of my heel issue). The Paloma fits like a dream. The Kaitlyn has a slightly different insole so it feels smaller, but not too small as my toes aren't touching the end. The Belle almost felt too small at first, but after a day of wearing they broke in and now I don't notice my toes touching the end like they did the first day.Now for the solution to the squeak that some have complained about. The squeak originates in the sole of the shoe from the insole rubbing against the inside of the shoe itself. If you remove the insole and coat the bottom of it with a silicone lubricant like you can get at a hardware store or auto supply store, it will cease the squeak. All four of my pairs developed the squeak after a few days of wear. After spraying the bottom of the insoles 3 of them no longer squeak at all. The classic clogs still squeak, but I believe the issue with those is different. The squeak seems to originate on the top of the shoe where the leather strap rubs against the decorated cork top (they are the classic cork black pull up design). I don't know how long this fix lasts, but so far it's been a few weeks since I sprayed mine and they are still squeak free.

I have bunions on both feet and these shoes don't irritate them at all! I also have a pair of alegria harper, which are ok, but a little narrower, so palomas are more comfortable. My size is between 38 and 39, alegria 38 fits me very well, I can wear these shoes with or without socks and feel great.

LOVE them!!! I can not rave enough about how good comfortable these are they have saved my feet! I stand on concrete for 8 hrs and would go home in great pain and discomfort after and 8 hr shift. These literally have made it possible for me to get through the day at my job I thought I would have to quit because of the foot pain from standing on concrete for 8 hrs. I own now 4 pair

These shoes have a very wide toe box so if you have a wide foot they might work very well for you. I wear a 7, and have a wide foot with a high arch. The strap had no trouble spanning my arch. My biggest problem was a tight area above my toes. I have a hammer toe and these shoes quickly rubbed all the skin off of the top of my toe. I'm hopeful that this will be a good pair of shoes for me, but quite honestly the leather is very stiff. I spent several days soaking the problem area from the underside with shoe stretch to try to soften the leather, and also applied moleskin inside. I'm hopeful that once these shoes are broken in they are going to be a great blessing but the leather is more stiff than any pair of shoes I have ever owned. So I would say if you have hammertoes or bunions BEWARE!

I've never tried on Alegria in a store, so I was relying on my experience with Dankso and Sanita to guess the right size. I normally wear an 11/11.5 depending on the brand. In Sanita that equates to a solid 43. As I am wearing them with compression stockings, they still feel a bit big - but the need to have plenty of room in the toe box - makes me think that sticking with 43 is the correct thing. I have been walking about the house and have noted that if you have the strap too tight - they are uncomfortable, but correctly loosening it makes walking in them like walking on clouds.I think that choosing the right size is the biggest hurdle. If you are on the smaller end of a size I would order your normal size, but if you are on the top end of a size - do yourself a favor and go up one size. This style needs for you to have plenty of length in the toe box to enable your heel to glide up and down like most clogs. I don't believe they are intended to be form fitting like a pair of tennis shoes.Lastly, about the arch. My foot is pretty flat with almost no arch - Dansko is painful for me to wear. As you make your selection, keep the arch in mind - if you have high arches and require a lot of support - this style is not for you.

I have another black pair of Paloma, however they do not have the padding on the back heel and I'm unable to wear them without socks or tights. THESE HAVE CHANGED THE GAME! Alegria needs to put padding on the heel of all their shoes where applicable. It has made all the difference in the world and I can wear these with or without socks or tights. They look so great without socks for dresses and leggings. I wore these all winter to work and ever had foot pain, rubbing, blisters, etc. Alegria has kicked my Danskos to the back of the closet. This brand is everything for my high arch and metatarsal, PF, and recovering metatarsal stress fracture. I have feet issue and thank RA this brand is in my life.

If you want to be different and still wear orthotics these are the shoes for you. They are chunky but fab and I have had loads of people admire them. Good quality leather, very comfortable and the engravings are amazing.

I received theses shoes today,they were an amazing competitive price compared to other markets.The leather is buttery soft and they are slightly large, for me size 6 but I have wide feet that swell up in the day so I sure they will be fine. They look great too.

this is a great looking shoe that has a great fit when you know your size you can order Mary Jane of any Alegria shoe and it will fit. The website had them on sale for $69 it was too bad that they cost so much on Amazon but I really wanted the shoes I've been waiting two years for them to come out again in my size

I adore these shoes.They are now my second pair and I will probably order yet another pair next summer. They fit as expected and there is lots of room in the toe box to prevent squishing toes. They are my go to pair when I have to be on my feet for an extended period because they relieve some of the pressure off my lower back.

I wear a womenâs size 13.5I ordered the 44w as I Alegria said a 44 euro would fit a 13-14MY toe is touching the end of these shoes.Im hoping they may stretch slightly.Too bad i canât get a 45 euroThe fit small, not true to size

Würde ich immer wieder kaufen, ist jetzt mein zweites Paar, sehr lang haltbar bei Maximalbelastung (Tragezeit nahezu täglich 8 Stunden). Sehr empfehlenswert bei Rückenproblemen in stehenden Berufen!!
