A Fabulous Bag!!

Years ago, after having many Vera Bradley bags in the usual prints, I really wanted a more professional look, a Vera Bradley Miller bag in Classic Black. I was told that the only thing I could do was buy a Vera Bradley Classic Black diaper tote bag. It was okay but featured mesh pockets (that everything gets caught in) and a vinyl lining which made the bag heavy. When this Vera Bradley Miller Weekender bag in Classic Black came out I still had to get it. It's perfect!! I love having this Classic Black bag with the usual fabric pockets. It also features an exterior pocket on the outside that turns into a sleeve so the bag can attach to a roller bag. (My Classic Black diaper tote bag still comes in handy...when there was torrential rain the other day it made a great waterproof laptop bag). This is a perfect carry on bag for my many trips. When I'm home and not on a trip it's handy as a large purse that accommodates whatever I want to carry: books, an extra sweater, a few purchases, etc

I suppose if anyone ever took the time to read my reviews they might notice there are several for bags and most of them say, "I love this bag." Sigh...it's a weakness. That being said, this bag was purchased for a very specific reason and that is for carry-on travel. My husband and I will be going on an extended vacation this year that involves several different airplanes, trains, and busses. We have opted for carry-on travel and though my Ebags Mother Lode Weekender (another favorite) is perfect for the majority of my items, my new Vera Bradley Miller bag is perfect for the items that I'm more likely to need while sitting on those planes, trains, and automobiles. It's a large bag, with several pockets that will hold toiletries, books, phones, wallets, etc. and there is sufficient space in the bag to carry a day bag AND still have enough room to bring home souvenirs. I've always been hesitant to buy a Vera Bradley bag because I hate those frilly floral patterns, but the solid color is perfect. It's a beautiful color, quality fabric and stitching, and the interior is gorgeous as well. I am actually considering buying a smaller version of the bag to use in my everyday life.

I've been carrying this bag everyday since I got it! This is the perfect work tote. The size is perfect and there are many pockets on the inside for organization. And the bag doesn't slouch! I've been on a Vera Bradley splurge since finding the Classic Black and leather totes! I purchased 3 totes this week! What more is there to say! You will not be disappointed with this tote.

It is larger than I would have thought from the dimensions given. I probably should have paid closer attention to the accompanying illustration that showed a model holding the bag. I'm still a little on the fence whether to keep it - but I LOVE the fact that it is plain black, and I really like several of the features. Outside slip pocket on the front for phone/boarding pass; outside pocket on the back that unzips at the bottom so you can slip the "sleeve" over the pull handle of a rolling bag; six slip pockets along the light-colored patterned interior - should mean that smaller items won't get lost in a black hole. It is pretty lightweight for its size, so I envision being able to put a smaller handbag inside (to meet the 2-bag carry-on restriction) - along with a 3-1-1- bag, a cashmere wrap, in-flight flats, e-reader, etc. The stiff bottom panel and quilting seem to give it enough body so that it won't collapse on itself if it isn't packed full, yet it should be flexible enough to squish under the seat in front of me. I saw the same bag on another site for nearly $50 more than I paid, making it even more attractive.

I love this bag, especially the outside slip pocket that permits the bag to securely slip over the suitcase handle.It is quite large, and holds all of my toiletries, extra shoes, iPad and anything else you want to keep with you on the plane. The interior pockets keep smaller items from getting lost on the bottom.They call this color Charcoal, but its actually a blue/gray, as it appears in the picture. I love the color, but if you are looking for a real charcoal gray-you will be disappointed.
Works great as a breast pump bag!

This is a great "working mom" bag. I've been using it for the past 10 months to schlep my breastpump, all it's accoutrements, and my other "purse stuff" to work every day. Unlike bags designed for especially for pumps, which rarely have room for anything else, there's plenty of space in this bag for notebooks, umbrellas, wallet, sunglasses, etc. You can even fit a small lunch box or milk cooler bag inside. The inside pockets are generous and keep my stuff organized. Usually I prefer crossbody straps, but the shoulder straps are long enough that carrying it isn't uncomfortable. It sounds corny or materialistic, but going back to work after maternity leave felt so much easier once I got this bag.

Perfect bag for travel or a long day at a volleyball tournament. Bigger than an everyday bag, at least for me. I like that it zips closed and has plenty of interior pockets. I ordered the charcoal... has a slight blue tone... and it's gorgeous. I was initially bummed that the black one cost so much more, but now I'm happy to have a great bag in a beautiful color at an even better price.

Large, sturdy and attractive bag. I wanted a travel bag that could hold my purse, book and other items in flight and hold all my purchases during the trip home. The bag has a flat bottom and six pockets inside. There are also two large outside pockets. The bottom of one of these can be unzipped to slide over a larger bag's telescoping handle to piggy-back on a rolling bag.
