I'm 56 years old with a thick waist and I stand 5'4. The jeans are very forgiving and make me look long and lean when I am not. they are long on me but I don't mind as I have several boots with 2 inch heels I'll be wearing with them. As far as the price. I did get them while amazon was having a sale which gave me 20% off and I have to disagree with the previous poster as to value. I'm not a teen and when I spend this much on an item I wear it for a LONG time which makes the price a good value to me. Also to some who say these are mom jeans implying that's a BAD thing...I'd like to know WHY?????? I AM a mom and frankly don't care to wear jeans with sparkles rips and tears which sit 1 inch above my crack....these jeans make me look GREAT. That's all I care about. Great jean. oh and DO NOT order your regular size, order one size down which is recommended by NYDJ themselves. They're right, one size down fit great.

I love these pants! However, let's get real. The manufacturer's recommendation on sizing says ******* "Remember to select one size smaller for the perfect fit!" ********** Um ... No. There's no getting around your pants size. If you are on the small end of a size, then maybe going down one size would be ok.. With that being said, let's talk about the good stuff!1.) The length of the pants didn't shrink! I'm 5'9", so pant length is essential.2.) Waist is comfortable. No muffin top.3.) Brown jeans are interesting - not something you see everyday. I love the color.4.) There are "embellishments" on the back pocket. They aren't rhinestones - no bedazzling - but it's silver/gold pattern. Look at the back side photo and you can see what I'm talking about.Enjoy!

I needed new jeans, so I've been searching for high rise boot cuts. I am 5'8", about 126-128 lbs, true size 6. I am proportional. Certainly not perfect, just no issues like very tall, petite, tiny waist, big hips, etc. After extensive research and reading tons of reviews, I ordered KUT from the Kloth Natalie High Rise, NYDJ Barbara High Rise, NYDJ Sarah High Rise (they sent me two Barbaras, so I didn't get the Sarah), and Silver Suki High Rise jeans. This review is for the NYDJ Barbara High Rise boot cut jeans. (I will review the others separately.)Rise: True high rise. Very tight waist, which I liked. I am surprised that anyone with hips bigger than mine (which are pretty slim) can get them pulled on.Size: Not true to size. I ordered one size down (based on the reviews), and they were still a little too big.Inseam: I think they are around 33", but I didn't really leave them on long enough to check.Color: This particular color, Heyburn, is really nice. Not too faded, not too dark. Just a nice casual denim color. Minimal distressing. I really loved the color.Fit: Not slim fit, and not really boot cut. The waist is nice and tight, but the belly and legs are baggy. These are actually more straight leg than boot cut. Boot cuts should have a slim thigh and knee, and then flare out slightly. These are more like the old-school "relaxed" jeans. They aren't tight at all in the thighs.Denim: The denim was a nice quality. Not overly soft or overly stiff. I liked it.Bottom line: These are not a true boot cut. I love the high rise and the color, but the fit was not what I was looking for. I am returning these.

I've bought these at Nordstroms for a couple years now and the sizes always seem to be pretty consistent but the two pairs I purchased on the "deal of the day" were somewhat tighter than my other pairs (no, I haven't gained weight). I normally like these jeans for me, because I am so tall and most of my height is in my legs and these pants offer a 33" inseam in most pairs, giving me the length I need. I also noticed, the cut on these seemed a little off in the waist. I have a high waist and again, normally, these usually land right at my waist perfectly but for some reason, these two pairs were a little shorter in landing properly. The cut around also seemed a little smaller on both pairs, making them tighter than all of my other NYDJ jeans, and I have many many pairs of them so I know how they should fit. For all of these reasons, I've given 3 stars.

These are the perfect pants. My new favorite jeans. Iâm 5â10 and 180 lbs. in regular jeans Iâm a 10 , in these because theyâre stretchy I got the 8 and theyâre perfect. Ok guys so they are high rise, hold in your tummy, flattering as heck and comfortable. And they are tall enough!!! Thank you these are beautiful!

Well they're pricey, but they look FANTASTIC. It's worth it to spend more on one fabulous pair of jeans instead of buying three pair of so-so Mom Jeans. Yes, I ordered a full size down. In fact they stretch out a bit and have to be hitched up! Tip: I turned my great new jeans inside out and used the speed wash cycle with vinegar and salt (no detergent) to set the dye. I will continue to wash inside-out, with vinegar on speed wash to preserve the awesome color.

This style is my favorite of NYDJ. The other style I own the denim is stiffer, less stretch and less comfortable. These feel like jeans that have been washed a lot but are in great condition (just like they are supposed to.) I originally bought size 6 in NYDJ and that is the size I bought in these and they fit perfectly. I am 5'8" and 140 lbs.
They should be renamed Your Daughter's Jeans

Not Your Daughter's Jeans? My aching back! These jeans, Barbara Bootcut, are skintight! I always buy Barbara Bootcut because they fit beautifully - except for the white and the gray. What gives? Why is there such a difference in the sizes and colors? If you can't rely on the fit, there's no sense in buying them! Extremely disappointed!

I struggle to find jeans to fir my womanly though not overweight figure (5' 6'', large frame, size 12)These are a great length and a really snug fit. Arguably at rising 60 I shouldn't be wearing snug jeans but I always balance them with a tunic top!So pleased that I have ordered another pair.

Love these jeans. Great fit, extremely comfortable, but give support where it's needed. Especially enjoyed buying this pair from the global store - almost half the price of those you can get in the UK (including postage/import). What's not to like?

These jeans fiit well, they are flattering, and I didn't find that they stretched out of shape as the day wore on. However, they lost one star because they don't feel like jeans - more like spandex - and they are VERY lightweight. Certainly not something you could wear on a cold day.

NYDJ are my favourite jean brand. Very flattering and comfortable. Dark wash is nice with blazer/jackets and boots or heels. Can be dressed up or down. I usually order one size smaller since they have a lot of stretch and are sized generously. Great wardrobe staple/investment.

They keep telling you to order a size smaller than what you are. I did that. Theyâre slightly uncomfortable. I shouldâve bought the size that I am. Other than that there are nice Jean and the colour is perfect

Iâve bought these jeans before and was happy. But these particular ones arenât cut the same as my old ones. They are more of a straight leg than a boot cut. And theY have that smell to them that wonât go away. Iâm not sure if itâs how they shipped or the dye that gives that aweful smell. Maybe headed for the garbage trying to wash them one more time.

Nice winter weight jeans - and look really nice on. As promised, they are a size smaller than my regular size, and they fit perfectly. Am very pleased with the purchase - even though they are pretty pricey.

I love NYDJ boot cut and they serve me well.They fit beautifully, hold their shape and are long wearing. I have worn this brand for as long as the have been available and was dismayed when the only style available in our local stores was the skinny version. Glad to see the ones I prefer can be purchased online.

I'm glad i went with my gut & didnt order a size smaller as they indicated. They fit perfect except for being too long, which i am getting them hemmed up.

I have a lot of NYD jeans, and this is the colour I was looking for. They're durable and very slimming. These came down in price, so I grabbed them. Next will be a very 'naturally faded' pair.
