Hope for us 40-something Moms!!

After reading the reviews, I bought a size 16 which is up a size from my regular size 14. I'm so glad I did! First, I didn't realize exactly what Skinny Jeans meant (I'm a 45yr old mom of Boys who hates shopping, so I'm a bit behind). When I got them and tried them on, y'all would have laughed your eyes out at me! I was doing the "WTH-Dance" around my room while extending my legs out in all directions trying to figure out why the heck these things were so tight on my calves! Once I got over the initial shock, I realized in horror that I also have no clue how to WEAR these things! I tried on flats (don't do it!! U look like an upside down bowling pin!) and then Heels (again, unless you are 16 or 21-forget it! I was told in the most loving way by my 15yr old son that I looked like I was "trying too hard") and came to the sad conclusion that I might have to return them. Which bummed me out because they really ARE Comfy and they go high enough that they hid the evidence of having said loving 15yr old (and 17yr of and 21yr old). All was NOT lost!! I was ready to go to dinner with my 17yr old and his Girlfriend (bless her!) and noticed she was wearing her size 0 jeans tucked inside her Knee high Boots(she's sweet, beautiful, smart, and a size 0-I cant shoot her because she's 17. She's allowed to be all that). I took a glance at her and as we were walking out the door, I hollered "HOLD UP!!!" So, I raced back inside, threw off the jeans I had on, got into these Jeans (allowing 2 minutes for my mini "WTH dance and leg stretches") and put on my Knee High Boots and came out asking her "Ok, BE HONEST! I won't shoot you for giving me an honest answer (she is blissfully unaware of the other reasons I want to shoot her). Am I Trying too hard and/or do they make my Butt look too big?!" (to which my son's promptly yelled at her "DON'T DO IT, IT'S A TRAP!" After I was done glaring at the boys with the "I cook your food and have an evil sense of humor"look, she said "Wow, No! Those look amazing on you! They hug your butt just right, which is what you want! The boots with heel also add that nice lift!" (Which prompted gagging noises from the boys. I've got a nice spaghetti dinner spiked with Tabasco sauce planned for them). So, for all the Moms out there- These Jeans look great on us provided you get a size up (if u like a snuggle fit on your waist and are a middle size then go down) and know they are nice and stretchy too so if you feel you have to puke because they are too tight in the waist-keep it in for about 30 mins because they loosen up (or you actually puke which give you more room anyway -win win) and Wear with Boots!! You will look like you are stylish, have a "cute butt" (if it horrifies your kids-again I say- win win!!), all without trying too hard!!!I'm getting a pair in black too!!!ps- I don't own a gun and I'd never ruin a perfectly good meal. My kids are safe from everything except water and too much garlic!
Comfy Butt Not Perfect

These are extremely comfortable since they are stretch denim, and they're exactly what I was looking for. Since the majority of the reviews mentioned you might want to go up a size - and I normally wear an 11/12 - I went with a 13. I am 5'8" and 145 pounds. They are just a skosh looser than I would like, and I probably could have stuck to my regular size, but the looseness is also to be expected from any stretchy fabric. And I need to breathe. Can't have it both ways. I haven't laundered them yet, so I'm hoping a little time in the dryer may resolve that. Or eating more croissants...Note: I need to mention I am 64, so you youngins may want to ignore this review. I have PTSD from trying on jeans. It has always been a horrible experience. First, I have a slight case of Dunlops disease...which stands for "the belly done lopped over the belt." But the waist on these is higher, so my midriff is under the covers, where it should be. Secondly, I grew up with skinny thighs, so jeans always bag at my thighs, both in front and in back! And with barely a booty to speak of, all the tea in china isn't going to help these jeans "lift" mine. One can't expect miracles if there's nothing to work with. But I have to admit they are a little more firming around the tush than most jeans. There's a slight looseness in the front crotch area that I'm not thrilled with but, again, that could be my lack of padding in my thighs. The length is perfect, though, and overall I'm really pleased with these jeans.
BEST PANTS EVER!

I just got these in the mail and I LOVE them! They are so fantastic that I stopped everything that I was doing just to write this review.First of all, let me say that when I say these are the best jeans ever, I mean it. I have bought Citizens of Humanity, Seven for All Mankind, etc. I have bought $5 thrift shop jeans and many pairs of Mossimo jeans from Target. I have worn men's jeans, jeggings, the list goes on and on. The point is proven then that I know a good amount about jeans and what I think makes good denim.I had spent hours reading reviews on here until finally picking these. This brand fit my very limited budget, were high waisted, and looked promising. As soon as they arrived I put them on, still not expecting much. To my surprise, they fit like a glove (a custom made, lovely denim glove that is not a glove but is instead a pair of bad pass pants)!I am 5'9 and wear a size 14/16. I decided to order the 16 plus in dark blue denim. The color is nice and the material is not too thin or thick, with just the right amount of stretch to it. The jeans hug your curves in all the right places and the high waist eliminates any risk of unsightly bulges etc. One thing I really love is that these pants are true high waisted pants. By this I mean that they come up to your natural waist, above your navel. The buttons on these are not bulky and do not make lumps under your shirt from the side. In my opinion these pants make your waist look smaller be cause of the way that they are made. They really hug you in all the right places and they live up to their claim to make your back side look great!Over all I have to say that these are hands down THE BEST JEANS THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED. PERIOD!The one and only thing that could be a problem for some is the length. The pant leg comes down to just below the bottom of my ankle, which is great for my 5'9 frame but is likely too long for many. Fortunately, you can fix this in a variety of ways!If you are thinking about getting these pants, GO FOR IT!You will not regret it!These are the best jeans around!
