Great no frills black long sleeved tee

I wear a lot of black and with the upcoming cold weather, needed to stock up on long sleeved black shirts. These Hanes tees are perfect for my needs. The sleeves and torso are both the perfect length. The cotton fabric is thick, warm, soft and comfortable. It washes perfectly. No shrinking and no color bleed onto other clothes at all. No fading so far, and I have had these for a few months now. Because they are Hanes, they are very high quality and the price was great.

True to size. I took a medium based on review but a small which is my size would have been perfect. I was going for a right work out fitI was also going for a good length to cover my assets as I will be wearing it with tights.Could have been longer but good enough.140lbs. 5" 6" 34-36D

I like to wear shirts under tees, as I'm always cold. I used to buy all my shirts from Victoria's Secret, but they've discontinued the nice crew necks they used to sell, and I'm running out of the stock I have.I like a fitted tee, not too tight, and definitely not too see-through. I thought I'd try the Hanes version.The colors I've bought are not see-through. They definitely are dense. They have some great colors to choose from, and the bright colors really pop.Since reviews said they run a little small, I tried Large at first. I'm usually a Medium (8-10), and the larges were way too big. They were baggy, so I can't wear shirts on top. Then I tried the Medium, and the Medium is still not as fitted as I'd like, but I can wear tee shirts on top.There's one thing I've found with the Hanes shirt, though, that makes me not want to buy anymore (I have four right now). They're itchy. I've washed them several different ways, and no way I've tried has changed the result. They scratch against my chest, and I have been a bit hive-y after wearing them.They're a good price for what they are, but I'll be looking elsewhere next time.

Awkward fit

I purchased this because I was looking for a lightweight long sleeve shirt to wear under my scrubs. I usually wear a size small, but will order a size medium if I'm looking for a looser fit (for reference I'm 5'6 125 pounds.) I purchased the size small in pink and found this to be too big but also too short in the torso and arms. When compared to my size small Cherokee shirt, it is larger but the torso and arms are shorter. The arms from the wrist are 23" to the seam, 27" to the collar, and width from under the armpits is 18", and the length from the front collar to bottom is 21". It was soft and lightweight without being see through, but unfortunately the fit wasn't right for me. If you have a shorter torso and arms, this shirt is for you!

Ordered twice within the last two months - February - April 2017. Each time got entirely different t-shirts.First order was for colors: light pink, dark pink, white.Second order was for colors: light pink, dark pink, white, blue, purple.In the first order the shirts were thinner, larger and did not shrink a bit after the wash.Second set, the shirts were thicker, they shrink a ton after the wash from size XL to size M or soall things being equal (the same wash cycle -eco warm, the same dry cycle - air fluff).The colors are also different, in the first batch the light and dark pinks are not the same as were.I would say that amazon lacks the consistency of the product and it is very frustratingfor repeating orders. If it were from amazon sellers then I would understand that could happenbut both orders were "ship and sold by Amazon".I don't like the way the second batch the new one feels, the shirts feel less like 100% cottonand more like a blend, regardless of the stamp that it is pure cotton.You might want to take this into consideration while ordering or try few different orders from themfrom different listings.

Purchased several of these for my mom in an assisted care facility. She's 4'10" about 115 pounds - very petite but curvy. I ordered large sizes because of her body shape and because anything cotton will shrink. (Even when it says pre-shrunk!) What arrived looks more like a medium - definitely for people without many curves. These fit so-so. I'll probably resort to buying things off clearance racks from now on and doing alterations myself. Laid flat, the shirt measures 20" across just under the arms. Sleeves from the top shoulder seam are 25".Hanes is one of the few companies with clothes that sometimes work for petite women. The only other one is Land's End, but they're expensive. These are thin shirts, not necessarily see-thru, and very fitted for women's clothing. As in, not only does it run small but it really does the hourglass shape if you want to show off your figure. At least the sleeves won't have to be rolled up. I'm praying they really don't shrink because there's not much give to the fabric. It's very stiff. Purple is true to color shown by seller despite my bad pics.

I have these in 3 colors. I'm a RN and wear them under my scrubs during the colder months. They keep me warm but I don't get sweaty when I'm running around the floor.

I found this tee to very thin and quite large. I don't mind it being thin because it can be worn in layers and I do like the colour. But I am having an issue with sizing lately. either I am losing weight which I am not but it seems like almost everything I order lately and I use the size chart is too large. I know the clothing is often made in China which means sizing is smaller but I go by the size chart and often find myself swimming in some of the items I receive. I can still wear them but do not like feeling like I borrowed someone else's clothes. I do have a large bust for a 5' person and don't have really small hips but the neckline on some of the clothing items I have recently ordered are huge. Size charts are becoming confusing or is it just me.

I love the colour of this tee shirt which is why I bought it. It is well made as all Hanes products are. However, taking into account other reviews saying that this product was on the small side I order extra large. Big mistake. I am 10/12 and the medium would have been perfect. Therefore I suggest one size larger than usual would be best. My fault entirely as this is a very nice good quality garment.

The best thing about this is the colour. It's a gorgeous, intense deep blue with a slight hint of turquoise. Otherwise, this is a bit of a disappointment. I've got other Hanes tshirts that are much better quality and fit. This is the first without lycra and it doesn't fit very well at all. It hangs off my back, the cuffs are too wide and it clings around my hips when I've got jeans on even though it isn't too tight. I've got loads of tshirts without lycra that still feel nice and stretchy but this one is quite rigid feeling and it doesn't feel very comfortable. Washed ok but is slightly twisted.

I've bought medium and small. I'm a small size 10. The small is more figure hugging and nice for sports as is breathable but it also looks good to wear anyway. The medium is looser in the body but doesn't swamp me. Still fits well on shoulders. The medium sleeves are a bit large and long but nothing of a problem. I like both sizes for different looks and bonus is they are more breathable than some sports tops.

I bought a size larger than I normally am as wanted a loose fit and it comes up small. Very thin - not good quality. Wont be using as I originally intended as a t-shirt but will use as an extra layer in cold when out walking the dog. Having said that for three tops price was cheap - lesson learnt - you get what you pay for.

I like these t-shirts but I would have loved them if the sleeves were tapered on the wrists as most other t-shirts are. I am adding a bit more to the review already posted sometime ago. I like them alright. They feel warm for a cotton t-shirt, BUT they bobble, which I hate.

This was the perfect purchase for me. I was looking for a cotton comfortable lightweight sweat type shirt in a lovely shade of pale pink and this ticked all the boxes. I am a size ten and went for the large but I could have gone smaller. Thrilled with my purchase can highly recommend.
