this is sort of a first impressions kind of review. think i will add to the review later ...as to when i have used it and enjoyed/or didn't enjoy kind of feels later on. if that make any sense. i open the box that my Amazon purchases came in and it was in a small bag ..nothing fancy. it was in a plastic inner package. no dust bag or anything ... i am curious what it is made out of ... need to read the inside ..see if i can figure it out. i am not seeing any reviews on this bag at all ... i was sort of hesitate to buy without any reviews??! but i took a leap ... love the color. i am a fan of leather .. if u r not ... move on ... that is a personal thing. i love the smell of REAL leather. i met my hubby and i still remember the smell of his real leather jacket ... leather is a nice smell. i loved the zippers ...totally why i grabbed it up. not really a fan of the tassel. it is removable. u have backpack straps and one really cool strap to wear over your shoulder ... i did not see if the strap will give u a cross-body kind of look??! i need to see if they will move that long? i know the backpack is great ... u can lengthen those. love all the pockets ... so cool. there is a slight smell ... i am trying to rid the bag of that ... now let me explain ...it is not a leather smell ... i am a person who is one who can be affected by smells both good and bad ... and i tell u this is not a bad smell ...but i am going to see if i can rid the bag of it or what? i have packed it with my stuff and left all items open to see if that smell will go away? i am ready to take it for a try ... i think it will be a pretty usable bag. love it ... i am not sure if i will use it on my shoulder probably more of a backpack kind of wearing for the start ...but i am going to keep the strap in the lower part of the bag in case i want to wear it on my shoulder ...it is easily changed. love that!! i think the stars for me ... are a high high 4 stars ... i almost went for a 5 but ... that smell ... so like a 4.9 ... almost 5??! i will keep u posted. love this bag ...but i doubt it is real leather?? i never thought it was leather ...but not that i am reviewing it ... i am so curious? i will check inside of bag??! check this bag out ... i am a go 2 brown fan ... so u can wear it will everything ...but i must admit was curious about the black as well ... but brown rules usually for me.

This back pack purse is awesome! I love how it goes from a backpack to a crossbody so easily! It’s made very well. It’s exactly what I wanted.

Fell apart after 6 weeks and smells terrible

When this item was delivered I immediately loved it. The "leather" was soft and worn in and the hardware was nice however, the smell out of the box was absolutely awful. It smelled of chemicals and rotten fish. So I decided that since the bag was so cute, I’ll let it air out for a week and put deodorizer in it to reduce the smell. Well, the smell is still there today and I get whiffs if it every time I use the bag. The other MAJOR problem is that the lining inside the bag started to tear about a week ago which was after about 6 weeks of use. It continues to tear a little each day and it is forcing me to find a new bag ASAP. I’m very disappointed in this purchase and the return window is closed of course. Major bummer. I do not recommend this bag.

Don’t buy this it will fall apart!

This bag fell apart with in a month or two of buying. Threw it away. I loved everything about it but the durability. Need to double stitch it. Not made well. Don’t buy this bag.

Love this bag

I bought this backpack several months ago. I use it daily as my purse and I love it. The quality is great. I’ve had no issues with tearing or seams coming apart. The zippers are all still functioning perfectly. I love the color. I will definitely order again when I’m ready for a new color.

Not really durable

I love the design, leather and all the pockets it has. It’s perfect for my daily use/school use. However, i only had a notebook and one of my textbooks (a paperback book, less than 120 pages) in it since I’ve received it, and the backpack handles that are sewn into the top started to come apart. One of them came completely off yesterday, the other barely hanging on. I’ve only had it for a little under two weeks so i think the fact that it didn't last long is alarming. Hopefully this setback doesn’t happen to everyone. Also, the weight limit for how much it could carry should be tested a few more times.

Very convenient but experience short lived

I really do like the bag it helps a lot when you are traveling, even makes the every day commute to work (including the dreaded walk to the office door) a little easier! However, When it arrive it had a strange odor (that i still can’t get completely rid of) but it’s manageable after you air it out. And after just a few days over a month it ripped at the seam (with an 8oz water bottle, my wallet, 3 ink pens and a note pad) there is plenty of room but i never put fill it with much...still love the bag just just wish i had more time to enjoy it before it ripped :(

Nice purse for price, but smells terrible

Purse is nice for the price. Does not seem like genuine leather. Very soft and flexible. However the purse has a terrible chemical smell on the inside. After about 8 weeks of use the front snap tore off and the inside zipper compartment came unsown ripping open. . Waist of money. Return window closed.
