Stylish and sturdy real leather!

Fabulous high quality actual leather hand bag. I used this as my airport carry on due to the large size and sturdy construction. It should expand at the base so it can stand up if evenly distributed inside. I put my laptop case inside and still had enough room for my normal wallet, make up bag, kindle and snacks. I also put water repellent on it to make sure it stays durable in all types of weather, no discolorations. Both straps are sewn onto the bag well, I really stuffed it and traveled quite a bit with it and it held up great. Besides being well-made, it is also a lovely saddle color and really complements my tan loafers, this bag should be able to span the seasons with aplomb.

The overall quality of the bag is great. However, the saddle color pictured is more like caramel. I was looking for more of an unused baseball glove color, like the vachetta on my LV, and got an orange brown color. I understand color variations but this was a huge difference vs the picture above. Also, it has the Piel leather logo INSIDE of the bag, on the liner. On the outside, there is just a blank circle. It makes a quality bag look extremely unfinished and generic. The handles are wider than the picture make them out to be, about 1" and I need a slimmer handle. I read many reviews hoping to find a measurement, without any luck. Don't get me wrong the leather feels great! I only wish there had been more care taken in advertising. I will be returning this one.

Bought it for my significant-other for XMAS. She really likes it. Seems to be of good quality leather and the stitching is solid. Time will tell, but as of now, it seems nice and "sturdy".The bag size is good for holding a 15" laptop, folders, books, and whatever else a woman can seem to stuff in their bags.My one concern is that the straps are thin. Not in thickness, but in the width of strap. It actually looks weird, because the bag is bigger, but then you have these "spaghetti straps". Not a "deal killer", but something that the design team at Piel should consider revising.The color stands out and she receives lots of compliments. Tough to beat the price. It is really a good deal for what you get!!!

Surprised at how soft and sturdy the leather is. Carried on the plane, great size. Worried about the handles from a few reviews, but they are fine and strong enough for the bag. Glad I took a chance on this one!
Good size tote with large open top

Bought on Amazon for a greatly reduced price, the tote is 16x13x5. The leather is a dark maroon red rather than the bright red as shown in the ad. There is some sort of plastic material between the thin dark red leather and the thin nylon-type lining that 'crinkles' when the bag is moved.The bag itself is a no-frills shopping/carry-all tote, with no outer pockets and a single leather dot on one side to differentiate between front and back. The straps are 1/4 inch, just wide enough to stay on the shoulders but not as thin as spaghetti straps that would dig into your shoulders. The ends of the straps inside the bag have a rivet to give the straps more strength. There is a small coin purse attached to a red leather strap, if you use it.Thankfully, the bag is 5 inches in depth so it will hold quite a bit for you to toss and go throughout the day.. I'm guessing the tote will soften with use and still keep it's shape with use. There are no feet on the bottom of the bag, so you have to be careful where you set it down, as the thin leather would flake in time.I'm glad the tote was on sale, otherwise I would have passed.

My girlfriend uses it every day for lunch andit can handle a heavy load (which was one of my concerns about the thinstraps). The color is accurate and the quality of the leather is excellent.Ended up buying it in 2 colors since the first one was better than expected.

I LOVE this leather bag. It came in a protective pouch and the new leather smell was intoxicating! It's large enough and it classes up my entire outfit. Quick shipping, and the bag was as described online at purchase. No complaints!

I needed something to carry the essentials and my MacBook Pro (which was already in a BookBook case so I didn't want bag with a laptop sleeve), The plan was to find a quality bag that could carry my MacBook when I needed it to and still work as my purse when I wasn't Whatever I chose also couldn't scream that there is a laptop in the bag. This is very important for me as I am disabled and I don't need to give someone the idea that I have something worth bonking me over the head for. Finally It needed to easily slip into the carry bag on the front of my walker. This bag does a great job of being inconspicuous, the MacBook slides in easily and it looks really smart.The thin handles do a great job of of allowing you to easily carry the bag - even with the laptop inside. The cell phone pocket can handle my iPhone 5s and on the other side the inside zipper pocket is huge and easily carries the things you donât want lost on the bottom of the bag. Speaking of getting lost on the bottom the little red change purse connected on a long leather cord to the inside of the bag works great for holding really important small things you donât want to be poking around looking for. I put my medication in mine.My only beef is the magnetic closure is not optimal. When my Macbook is in the bag it doesnât completely close so that does make it easy for things to fall out if the bag isnât up right. It isnât a deal breaker it just means I need to be careful with it.I am very happy with my purchase, I managed to pick up mine on sale and I would happily purchase another if the need arose.

The handles were not long...only 20 inches and thicker. The description is wrong...have to send back.
