Looks great, feels great, fits great!!

I am 5'3" tall and weigh138 pounds. I normally wear a size L in jackets and already have two other Columbia jackets in size L.Before I decided to purchase this rain jacket I read lots of reviews. Despite some of the negative reviews I decided to give it a try because I'm happy with my other Columbia jackets.I would like to address some of the negative reviews:Arms are too long - Yes, the arms are long but it's the same with all my other Columbia jackets and personally I appreciate it. When I stretch my arms on my bicycle or 4-wheeler the longer arms still keep me nice and dry.Too snug in hip and waist - I can not confirm this. I even tried a sweater underneath and I still have enough room. No complaints here.Too long - I am only 5'3" but I loooove the length. This was the main reason this jacket caught my eye. I wanted a jacket which covers my butt and also keeps it dry when I sit down on a wet seat/bench.That said... 5 stars from me. I love it!!
One of my favorite jackets

I have had this jacket for the last half of 2018 and I love it. Kentucky has moderately rainy weather and I work in a hospital. When I get into the work, my day starts immediately and I do not have the ability to spend 20 minutes in the restroom fixing my hair or drying my clothes. This coat has been fantastic! It covers below the backside, so I do not get the seat of my pants wet with dripping water. The fit is snug, tucked in a little at the waist with velcro at the hand cuffs which is great for the windy days. The pockets are durable, I have yet to rip one by shoving my hands in, which is a bad habit I have that results in pocket tearing within months usually. There is a inner pocket on the L side at chest level which I will use to hold keys, cash, or are a very small wallet when I go to shows and do not want/need a larger bag. The hood has some adjustability to it, and it is the only thing I find about the jacket that I wish I could tweak. The hood has velcro on the back to adjust the position it rests on your head, but unless the elastic cords are pulled tight at the sides it has a tendency to fall back off the head or completely cover my eyes. I usually have the wear the jacket fully zipped and the hood tightened during heavy rain or hold the hood a little closely to my head if I do not have the jacket fully zipped. Regardless, this is a fantastically light jacket for rainy weather and has some heat value for chilly weather. I layer it with sweaters on colder days but do switch to a winter jacket as we approve freezing temperatures as it is not a jacket for the cold. Its a light jacket, easy to carry on days that it might rain so I have few days that I come out of work and have to race to the car to avoid getting drenched than my coworkers do!
Size 12 buy a large
Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2019
The jacket itself seems like a great jacket but I wanted to post a review in case there are any other non-curvy size 12s out there. Most of these reviews said to size up, so I did, to an XL. A large would probably have been perfect. I'm wearing a sweatshirt under the jacket in these photos and there is still a TON of room on the bottom half and arms. I suppose if you are curvy, it would be worth sizing up but if you are relatively straight down stick to a large.
The Shine Struck II is nice, but I personally think a slightly lower quality

This is a very well made jacket. I am 5' 2" and 110 lbs and I got an extra small which fits perfectly. I can even wear another layer under it and it's not too tight. I had also bought the Columbia Shine Struck II but decided to return that and keep this one as it is lined and has the extra chest pocket for my cell phone. The Shine Struck II is nice, but I personally think a slightly lower quality, even though the sizing is also very nice.
Cali Girl Takes on Iceland

Two California Girls went on a Bachallorette to Iceland. Layers. Lots of layers...!Iâm so thankful I bought this jacket for the trip. I sized up so I could wear (SEVERAL) layers under it. This jacket was good for not only rain/snow protection, but wind protection. It blocked ALL the wind which helped to keep me warm(ish).Pockets are deep and easy to use, snaps are strong. Iâve got a really small head and the hood worked with a beanie under it.
Runs small
Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2018
This jacket is a beautiful color and a nice length. The fabric seems flimsy and plasticky compared to my short Columbia raincoat. This coat runs small. I am a size 16, and most XL jackets at least come close to fitting. This jackets fits more like a size 10. It is very small. I returned this item and ordered the same raincoat in a 1XL (separate listing). That jacket makes a HUGE jump in size and fits more like a size 18-20. I also ordered the 2XL which is probably a size 24. My 1XL, which I kept, works over my REI lightweight parka in a matching olive green. The two of them together kept me warm and dry from head to knees while taking a walk in medium rain at 40 degrees today. This lightweight raincoat packs small and works well for layering, once you get the size right.
GREAT raincoat, runs small! Size up!

GREAT raincoat for the price! Glad I read the reviews first because this jacket runs SMALL as other reviewers mentioned. I am 5â 4â and 125lbs and never wear a size medium, always SMALL or XTRA SMALL. Bought the MEDIUM in this jacket after reading reviews and it fits perfectly. As other reviewers stated, I agree, runs small in the shoulders and in the hips! You should buy this coat but buy a size larger than your normal size and if you plan on wearing sweaters underneath then you should buy 2 sizes up from your normal size. Hood is not for those with a lot of hair that you dont want to smoosh down. I dont recommend this coat for CURVY girls. All in all, this is a GREAT jacket and a really great price for the quality/weight.

I absolutely love this jacket. I have been using it in the UK with their rainy weather. It truly is water proof as I have never had a drop of rain on my in their rainy fall climate. It rolls up small and I pack it in my backpack every day. It is lined and is surprisingly warm for being so lightweight. I'm 5'4" and 125 pounds and I bought the small which fits perfectly. There is a little room for a thin puff jacket underneath.

Sturdy but very light, as pictured. Haven't worn this in the rain yet but have had good experience so far with other Columbia Omni-tech jackets. Sized up to an S as per recommendations and am pleased with the fit. Would be nice to have cool-down vents but might not need them since the jacket is so lightweight

This is a great quality jacket. Unfortunately I ended up returning it. I am usually a size 10. I ordered the large to allow room for layers but the sleeves were really too long (even to tuck up a little). I returned it with no problem and ordered the medium. Unfortunately it was too snug for my liking on the hips. I guess I'm an in-between size. I returned the medium and went with a different style of Columbia jacket.

I received the jacket today after ordering a medium and realizing I wouldn't be able to wear any layers underneath it. Reordered and selected a large. The sleeves are too long, and the hood is a big too big, but I'll live with it. Haven't had a chance yet to try it out in the rain, but it is super light-weight. I want it for travelling to Iceland in the fall and having the ability to wear a sweater underneath and I will be able to do that.

I got a size according to the size measurements provided. However it was too small around my butt and too big around the chest. This style is nor suitable for curvy women.

Travelling with the rain coat in Italy. Only used it twice and the zipper when the zipper broke. It was very inconvient not to have a rain jacket for the rest of the trip.

Has double zipper which is great on a 3/4 length jacket. Snaps on the overlap I stead of that horrible Velcro! Velcro on the cuffs to tighten down. I wear a light down jacket underneath on colder days. Totally waterproof and wind proof. Love it!!
