I ordered this for my wife, who saw it and liked it. Here's what she had to say:"I saw this jacket, and the Columbia brand and had a good idea that it'd be perfect for me. We live in California where is obviously doesn't get as cold as many other parts of the country, but when it's cold for us (we're whimps) we're COLD! Our daughter plays soccer at least three times a week and there are many chilly mornings and evenings we're out on the field and it gets cold. We also go to the snow in the winter.Just looking, this jacket may be an unusual style for some. The longer back, made out of a thinner, stretch'ish fabric is different, but in my opinion, very very useful. We're often in seats, sitting and most jackets that only come to the waist, don't warm our bums. Some jackets with a thick puffy bum on them can be cumbersome. This solves both problems.I love the soft "sleeve inserts" that are made for a comfy fabric and you can slip your thumb inside and have the sleeve come down a little longer. The jacket is really comfortable. It's made well. Very good quality. The zipper is heavy duty and is made to last. A few times I've zipped it up, the zipper can be a bit stiff to engage but I'm guessing that will improve with use. The inside has a "foil looking" liner that keeps in heat well. It has a hood which always comes in handy.You can easily read and look at all the features and details - but as a reviewer, I'll share that I love this. It's cut well, fits well, keeps me warm, and is comfortable. If you order this, ENJOY! Two thumbs up from me!

LOVE this coat! This is absolutely the best coat I have ever owned! I put it to the test on a trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan while sitting at a Wolverines game in 30 degree weather for hours and walking around town before and after for hours. The special silver lining of the coat feels as if it heats up with your body heat for an extra cozy and warm feel. It is EXTREMELY light weight which made me skeptical at first but once put to the test there was no question this was a top of the line product! I love the fit...it was pretty much true to size. I am 48 years old, 190lbs and 5ft 7inches tall. I wear size 14 clothing and I normally wear XL coats because I don't like to feel confined so the XL was a perfect fit! I highly recommend this coat!! You WILL NOT be disappointed!

I sent this coat back. I hoped Iâd like it because I love Omni Heat, but itâs a no-go.The material used in the back (and hood - which I didnât see in the description) is odd & the blacks are different. Plus, it is SO lightweight that it looks a bit deflated, like itâs old & worn out! Sorry Columbia, this was a bad idea.
Gives you a duck butt

*edit* I safety pinned the two sides in the back at the very bottom at the slit, this seemed to help A LOT with the duck butt issue so i took away my 3 stars and gave it a 4. I really love this coat now even though it could be a tiny bit larger in tne mid section. Its so damn comfortable and soft that i had to figure out a way to keep it and make it work for me.I'm a bit disappointed with this coat and I REALLY want to like it. Two main issues are first the sizing, I even went up a size and with a sweater on it's a bit snug, not a deal breaker but I wish it was a tad more loose. Now the main reason is the weird bottom in the back, it isn't the same as the rest of the coat which is ok but it flips out at the very bottom and make it look like you have a duck butt. You know how ducks have that flipped up tail feathers , well that's what you look like in this. I'm not sure if I want to keep it, for the price probably not.

I really like this coat. The length is perfect however I don't like the change in fabric on the back, it's not as warm so you can feel the warmth difference.

Torso was a great fit, but the collar was not snug at all and provided no warmth. When I stood outside in a feels-like temperature of 13 degrees, my legs (in single-layer leggings) were only slightly colder than my torso. Other reviewers mentioned the awkward panel on the backside, and it is, indeed, awkward. Itâs minky material on the underside, so Iâm assuming one wouldnât slide around so much in a vehicle, but itâs also not as warm as the rest of the coat may be. Jacket...not coat. Columbia was correct on that description. The back panel is simultaneously not flattering and not hiding any drawbacks of the shape of oneâs rear end. Bummer. I maybe could have stood the cold...or the duck butt as others have mentioned...but both are too much of a deal breaker. (Oh, and yes, the zipper did stick at first.)

Right out of the box the zipper was inoperable. Not just stiff from being new but it would not zip up because it just didnât line up right. The down or puffy look did not extend the full length but instead had a smooth uninsulated material covering the backside from the waist down making it look odd. Not a good jacket. I love Columbia but this was probably a knock off or second.

Nice coat so far. I got it for my daughter and she's only wore it a couple of weeks but so far so good. Quality seems good and the fit is nice. Easy to zip. Seems warm. I sure hope so, we live in Michigan and see plenty of cold temps and snow. I wanted to make sure she got a coat that was built for a real winter. Not somewhere that winter means 40-50 degree temps. Will update if that's not the case but it seems good so far.

I love everything about this jacket! It's stylish, soft and warm without being bulky. The "hybrid" longer part at the back is great for covering my bum without being restrictive. Great jacket for cool, early winter Canadian weather.

I loved this jacket the cut, the length, the quality, but was snug in size lge. I would have bought the XL if there had been one in stock. Hope you repeat this line next season!
