Worth the money

Love this jacket. Itâs the perfect coat for the unpredictable weather in Denver. You can remove the inside padding if itâs not too cold and itâs defintiely a jacket you can wear in 30 degree weather as well. Itâs a little tight on the shoulders, but I can live with it. I bought a medium and Iâm 5â5â and 150 pounds for reference.

Warm, chic commuter coat
Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2019
I ordered this coat because I liked the simple cut as well as the length. I wanted a warm, waterproof coat to keep me cosy while commuting to and from work. I wasn't sure about how it would hold up in super cold weather, but it's doing surprisingly well with some layering! I would definitely size up one size, as it is a little tighter in the arms. Going up a size led to a coat that was fitted, but not tightâ I didn't want to end up with anything that would protest my layers underneath, or end up being way too large and unflattering. Overall, this is a great deal and the shipping was surprisingly fast, despite not having Prime.

Not what I thought or advertised.

So, Iâve wanted a tunic length rain jacket for a while and when I found this one I thought it was the one. However, itâs a lot longer than it looks in the images and so it looks like a big gothic trench coat. Also, I decided on the black partially because I really liked the silver liner, but when it arrived the lining was black. It also feels bigger or bulkier than I thought it would, but it wouldnât fit if Iâd ordered a smaller size because it fits very well around my chest, arm openings and shoulders. Iâm 5â7â, evenly-shaped 145 lbs and typically wear a M (6/8) in most clothing brands. If I could order again, Iâd probably go for a L petite so the jacket would be shorter length.

Perfect travel coat for a rainy, chilly vacation

I was looking for a *waterproof* trench or raincoat for an upcoming trip to a rainy European location....yet I also needed something that could be warm enough (with layers) if the temps dipped at night. This coat seems ideal. I followed the advice of some other reviewers who noted the coat ran small or was narrow in the shoulders and sized up one size from my usual size. Ordered an XL (rather than usual L), and it fits perfectly with some room to spare. I can easily wear a light wool sweater and a thermal undershirt under the lining if it gets cold. The coat is long (almost to the knees) for good coverage, but unzips at the bottom if needed for walking or sitting. There sleeves are long. The slightly fitted waist creates a gentle hourglass shape that looks sharp. I love the dark eggplant color. Got this coat for 50% off during an Eddie Bauer sale period. Haven't tested it out in the rain yet, but I'm feeling confident it will do the job and be warm and chic while doing it. The coat seems to be the perfect coat at the perfect size to meet my travel needs. Note: This is not one of those travel coats that bunches up in a little ball to stick in a bag. I anticipate wearing this coat while travelling and every day while on my trip, so I did not need for it to be super tiny / packable.

Great quality coat but shoulder width seems atypically narrow

I LOVED this coat in it's style, liner option, large hood and quality. Disappointments are the narrowness in the shoulders ends up forbidding much movement if you wear anything but a thin cotton blouse because it's so tight, and in the sleeve cuff being wide and long. I have to go up to a medium just for the shoulders, but then the sleeves are even longer, even in the petite. It's worth it for me as the rest of the coat is exceptionally good. Unfortunately, the medium in now $50 more than the small. I can't justify that :((

Exactly what I wanted, but much too tight.

So disappointed! Excellent style, beautiful navy blue, removable quilted lining perfect for fall and spring. Without the lining, the medium that I usually wear is too tight. Can barely get the arm on with the lining. I usually like the Eddy Bauer clothes. Why did they make this so tight? Does Eddy Bauer only want to sell to teenagers or 20 somethings?

No extra room for bulky sweaters under the coat.

I am a larger woman who usually wears a size 18. I ordered the XXL by looking at the size chart. The coat is beautiful, and fits like a glove....will not be able to wear bulky sweaters under it with the lining buttoned in. We are going on a cruise in the Baltic sea (8 countries-different weather) the last of September and first of October....weather might be iffy between cool and cold!...I think with the lining in, I should be ok without having to wear a heavy sweater under it....the only alteration that needs to be done is the sleeve length....for me too long by almost two inches...I am 5'5" and this coat hits me right above my ankles which will help keep my posterior dry and warm....very nice fabric.....looking forward to taking this coat on our trip. Can be dressed up or just casual wear.

Runs tight in sleeves and across chest

I am 5â2 and 127 pounds. Wear size 6 pants/small top, (34 B). Ordered this in a small petite. Length was perfect, mid thigh. Nice lining. I tried this coat on with sleeveless shirt underneath. Jacket sleeves super snug (I have thin arms) and too tight across chest. (I want to be comfortable with sweater). Felt like I was suffocating. I wanted this coat to fit because I just loved the style. I returned the petite small. Still debating if I want to chance the medium petite.
