Love this coat!

It is absolutely perfect! It is a great light weight but still very warm. The one side is SOOOOO soft. The length is also perfect. Not too long like my parka but not too short that all my sweaters stick out the bottom. I would highly recommend this coat. I have worn it every day since I got it!
Beautiful but not warm enough

I want to love this coat. It's looks great, and the soft fleece inside is a cozy touch. The fit is perfect too, I ordered a small and I'm 5'5" 120 lbs 33 inch chest. It fits fine over a sweatshirt or fleece. Sadly it's going back because I walked my kids to the bus in 25 degree weather (thankfully no wind chill) and I was freezing. I had a flannel on under it as well. I would say any temps over 30, you'd be ok as long as you layer but it gets much colder where I live. I was going by the North face website which has this advertised as a heavyweight jacket. I'd say mid weight at best. Sad!
Love the color, sleeves are kinda weird

Cute jacket - I'm very happy with the color and styling - TNF delivers a flattering look. On the somewhat negative side: this is a lightweight jacket - the description as a "parka" might be technically correct, but please be aware it is not suited for serious winter cold. Second negative: the sleeves are a little strange. There's a thin elastic at the cuff like on a windbreaker which I think looks goofy . . . so I roll the sleeves under a little to hide it. On top of this funny elastic cuff issue, the fuzzy side of the jacket is fuzzy everywhere except for the sleeves. It took me by surprise because there was not a photo showing the fuzzy side - and I already own a Mossbud in the shorter non-hooded jacket style so I thought I knew what to expect but this sleeve thing is different. It looks a little funny and the sleeves are thin compared to the rest of the jacket - admittedly, this makes them less bulky which is probably the purpose - but "thin" is not a great feature on a coat. I thought for a moment of sending the jacket back. But the color is really great, and the shape is flattering, and I think I will get used to the sleeves. I will keep it but just wanted to alert other shoppers. They really should have more than one photo so you can see what you're ordering!
Super cozy warm coat. Very comfy.

I have two The North Face winter coats that are active fit without a hood. I like those very much but needed one that was a bit longer with a hood. This coat is well made, just the right length that covers the backside and is mid thigh in the front. The coat is standard fit so it is a little more roomy through the waist and bust area which allows for bulkier clothing underneath. The fleece is super soft and I wore this in light rain and 30 degree weather and I was comfortably warm. The only thing I would change is to make the elastic binding around the wrists a bit more snug. I have shorter arms with skinny wrists and I have to roll up the sleeves a little. Still looks and feels great! I would recommend buying this coat. I love it!!!! I am 4â11â tall. The information and laundry tags are located inside the left zippered pocket. Machine wash cold with like colors and hang to dry. I close all zippers before washing
Very lightweight but still warm!

I received the parka earlier this week and I was skeptical it would keep me warm since itâs not very heavy. I was wrong. The temps dipped this weekend (high 20s, low 30s with wind chills in the teens) and this coat has kept me super warm! I have other fleeces from the north face and have had to size up to a large (normally wear a medium). Since this is a parka and I plan on layering underneath, I ordered an xl. Itâs a little big but it works. Itâs not bulky when driving and the length is perfect.
Not very warm

My daughter has the toddler Mossbud Swirl hooded jacket, and it's very warm and well insulated. I mistakenly thought this would be similar. It's not. It's nice and fits well but definitely not a "winter" coat. It's a fall jacket for probably nothing under 40 degrees.
Will be returning

Likes: not too bulky and was warm for somewhat cold weather. Looks great and is the defect length (barley covering butt)Dislikes: too long in the arms yet somehow to small/narrow in the mid section and thatâs coming from a slender person. It kept scrunching up the back whenever you sit down. Doesnât seem very warm for very cold weatherOverall, I am returning
Comfortable and looks great

I just received this jacket today, so this I just a preliminary review. We are heading up to snowy weather and I'll update the review based on how it works in the cold.Upon first wear, there is no fleece/minky fabric in the sleeves. It is just the "puffy outter shell". I don't know why, but I thought that the entire jacket would be lined and that is not the case. This is a very light weight jacket and folded up the same size as a hooded sweatshirt would. It is surprisingly light and breathes well and keeps me warm (have not tried it in weather cooler than 40 degrees). I love the way that it looks! I ordered a large and I'm normally a medium (5'2" 130lbs). There is space enough for a bulky sweater without feeling like the jacket was painted on. It does hit me about mid thigh, so perfect even with leggings. The external pockets are lined with a soft felt like material and are zippered. Because it is reversible, you do have pockets on the inside as well (the minky side - does not have zippers). Let's see how it holds up in cold weather!
