Alaska here i come!

I love this coat! I bought this for my trip to Alaska. I bought a size bigger so I could wear extra layers if needed. It never happened, this coat kept me warm with a medium base layer and thin fleece vest. I was nice and toasty in 20 degree weather. Will be wearing this coat in future winters for sure!

This coat is very warm! The label says that it is filled with 80% down and the top body of the coat has a fleece lining on the inside. I'm 5'3" and it hits mid calf for me. I wore it when it was 0F with a -21F windchill and it kept me nice and toasty.

This is the fourth Eddie Bauer coat I've bought, and I love them all. I wear this long down duffle coat when I do recess supervision outside at an elementary school in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin. It keeps the wind, snow and cold at bay which is of utmost importance out there.

I read the reviews and ordered this coat as everyone said it was super warm. I ordered a small as i planned to wear sweaters underneath, I was SWIMMING in the small... I returned it, should've ordered an XS. Im 5'3" and 116 lbs.

I like this coat in many ways but it appears on the photos to be just about knee length -- It's actually about two or more inches beyond that so it's more mid-calf length. (I'm 5'6".) I was hoping for the former. I'm still on the fence about it. The rating of "somewhat large" is all about the length -- the M coat actually is fairly snug if you're wearing a bulky winter sweater. It fits close. but there's no way to show that it's narrow and too long on this rating system. It's warm and otherwise fine--the top is toasty, but even though it is long, my lower legs got cold faster without the fleece all the way down. With colder weather here, the length may be ok but looks-wise I wanted a coat that was mid-length. It's a deal/steal, as the price is clearly a clearance price - the tag on the coat said $269.
sturdy and very warm

Coat seems to be very well-made, sturdy and very warm, looks elegant. The sizing, though, runs too small and I had to return for this sole reason: this doesn't seem to be US adult sizing. I'm a lightweight person above average height, and XL was too small to wear with a layer underneath. Since these coats should be worn with extra layer (to avoid washing them frequently which will damage them), I couldn't use it. I should have ordered XXL, while I'm really M size person. Now I'm worried that even XXL will not be comfortable and want to try it on in person somewhere first. The plus of this coat, also, is that it has both zipper and push buttons option to close it.

I am 5â5â 150 lbs. ordered a large. It was a bit too roomy even with a sweater on.Eddie Bauer customer service was awesome and they are now sending me a medium. It is bit long in the length but I felt that if I ordered the petite then the sleeves would be too short so I am just going to go with the longer length and be happy that Iâm keeping my legs warm. I will update again when I get the medium in a couple of days.

The coat was a gift for my daughter. She loves it, and has worn it daily since it arrived. She walks app. a mile to work each day, and found in this winter's subzero weather the need for a longer, warmer coat. It fit the bill!As always, the service from Amazon was terrific, and the coat is exactly as described. Great coat, great buy/
