Fades after washing -2â

The jacket arrived a beautiful dark gray, but when I washed it, it faded a lot. I washed it alone, in cold water, on the gentle cycle, and hung it to dry. It did not shrink, but faded and now has an almost purple hue to it. It's really disappointing because the original color was perfect. I'm still keeping it because, other than the fading, it is a great jacket. It is very well constructed and comfortable to wear. I usually wear a size 12 in pants and a large or medium t-shirt, so I ordered the jacket in a 12 which was very large. I also got the 10 and found it to be larger than I wanted, too. I settled on the 8 and love the fit. My bicep is 13inches around and the 8 is fitted, but not tight at all (my arm was swimming in the 12). My bust is 39 inches (34 DDD) and it zips over it easily with room to spare. It is loose at my waist (33inches) and fits well around my hips (43 inches where the jacket ends). It's straight and a bit boxy, but it can be cinched at the waist (I included 1 pic of it cinched). I have broad shoulders, but this jacket has a bit of stretch so it doesn't restrict movement. If it hadn't faded, it would get 5 stars.

Love this! At 5â9â/161, Iâve had a tough time finding a military cargo jacket. This one is super soft, is long enough in the arms, the waist cinching cord hits exactly at my waistline, and it covers half of my butt. Itâs warm enough for fall and spring weather. I love it!!
Color does fade when washed, even in cool water

I love this jacket - the style is so cute and I like a gray color. Unfortunately, there is a tag that says to wash before first use. I did so in cold water, but unfortunately, the color did fade. I guess that is to be expected, since the whole point of washing is to keep the dye from transferring to your clothes. But it's disappointing to lose the intensity of color, and it does take on a bit of a purple hue. It still appears gray, but the undertone is purple now. And even with ironing, the jacket does not look as crisp now after washing. It would be nice if they could pre-wash the fabric before they construct the jackets.

This jacket is very flattering and comfortable to wear. The fabric is close to a canvas level thicknessâI have no problem wearing it in 30°F+ weather but if you get cold easily, it probably wonât be warm enough for you under 45° or so. Lots of pockets, practical, excellent style.
Not for broad shoulders

I wanted to like this jacket but the fit was off for me. I am 5â7â, 135 lbs, athletic build with broad shoulders. Finding a structured jacket that actually fits well in the shoulders is always challenging, and unfortunately this one didnât quite do it for me. I normally wear a 4 or 6 and went with the 6 here. The shoulders were just a little too snug while the rest was huge on me, even when I cinched the drawstring waist. Really lovely, well-made product though, sorry to have to send it back.

This is a great wardrobe addition. Dress up or down. Waist cinches so it looks less like a military jacket. Collar stands up. Substantial material but not as heavy as canvass. It follows American sizing standards. love it!
Classic Wardrobe Staple

Amazing jacket. Incredible price for the quality and durability. Generic military jacket, but this comes out as a classic wardrobe staple. Grey jacket is perfect faded grey to look with any wash blue jeans, to black leggings. Love this jacket. Worked great during the latest winter freeze as well, for quick trips outside. This jacket has made me really look at amazons brands.

Thats a gamble you know. Some time sizing is off no mater what. You never know what will happen. Loved the look of this. Had to play with sizing at first finally sized down to a 14 . I am a petite large sizing but this soft material is stretchy. I am a 36c/d, and only 5â tall. Sleeves are slightly too long, turned up cuff but boy ar the big in diameter. washed as directed. But bought this for its Navy color. It is a very very dark indigo navy. Almost black. Had to touch up with and iron but for the most part no bad wrinkles! Going to keep it anyway.

This jacket fits perfectly and the grey colour is just what I wanted. The shape is flattering, and the waist is adjustable if you want the look to be a little more fitted. The fabric is a mid-weight chino and doesnât wrinkle easily. I havenât washed it yet, in spite of the tag which says to wash before first use, because I LOVE the grey and read what other reviewers wrote about the colour changing. I donât really wear light colours, so Iâm not worried about colour transfer. Until it needs it, this jacket wonât hit the washing machine. Love it.
