I'm from a NC, where the winters are very mild. I just relocated to the PNW and it was time to get a "real" winter coat. I am 5'6, 215lbs pear shaped. I usually wear a 16/18 in bottoms and L-XL on top. I ordered an XL COLUMBIA Women's Flurry Run Down Omni jacket and it fits like a glove!! The bottom buttons are snug when I sit but to be expected with my booty/hips. I personally wouldn't go up a size or it would be too baggy in the waist. This coat is very warm but not bulky. It has really nice sleeves that come down and your thumbs go through (I don't know the fashion term for that.) It is very comfortable, warm, flattering and well made. The only con is the price.

I absolutely love everything about this Jacket - except the color. The description says it's black, but it's really more of a dark Gray. However, everything else about the jacket outweighs the color and I ended up choosing it above a similar style by North Face. It's extremely warm, comfortable, waterproof, and the long cuffs with thumb holes are fabulous. The belt in back is adjustable so you can have a more fitted look when not wearing bulky clothes underneath. The hood is a little loose, and will blow off in heavy winds, but that is fixable with a small snap or Velcro. Overall very satisfied.

Just got this coat and I am so happy! I did a lot of research on longer parkas before I decided on this one. I'm 5' 8" and 165 lbs and got a large. I wore a hoodie underneath (i always wear hoodies) and had room to run around with my kids and go sledding. Not restraining at all, it has nice long sleeves and a big hood. I was out in the wind with it and never had it fall off. I agree with the color changing of the coat, it can look more of blue black at times. It will keep you warm and toasty!!!!

I have been searching for a longer winter coat (trench coat length) for those frigid winter days; something stylish with a fur hood but kept me warm. After multiple years, I finally pulled the trigger and bought this coat. I had read review after review and I have multiple Columbia products. This is their top quality and gets the job done. It is definitely warmer than my other winter coat I use to shovel in and more winter outdoor tasks. However I wanted a black coat and this is surely not black. It is more of a super dark grey (as other reviews stated). I kept trying to find another coat but this was the closest I found to what I wanted. When I finally tried it on and started wearing it, I was pleased however the coat was way overpriced. I couldn't find anything else that fit what I was looking for so between the color and the cost, I am still having some buyer's remorse. I have always considered Columbia a reasonably priced brand name but this is not that. I am pleased with the quality but at that price tag, I should have walked away 100% happy. Given how long I had looked and the need for the coat, I decided to keep it but I will be thinking twice before I purchase another Columbia product now.

It feels warm, but don't listen to the review that day the coat runs small. I'm a medium, but I bought a large because a lot of the reviews said to buy a size up, but I think it's exactly the size it claims to be. Large is large. Buy YOUR OWN size.I'm not very pleased with the hood though.

This Jackets is awesome! Great because itâs heavier and protects agains MN winters with being super cute! I got a large because it runs small. I ordered black but itâs a dark grey which I like! Hood comes off and if you want to just wear the hood without the fur you can take that part off.

Well made coat. Fit is very comfortable. Purchased size Large. I have a 36" chest and 32" waist, wear a shirt size between medium and large (tend more toward large), and this large fits me perfectly. There's room for a heavy sweater or sweatshirt underneath, and I can still move my arms about freely - no tightness or constriction. Coat is heavy and warm, but surprisingly flattering and not too bulky. I love that the faux fur trim can be removed from the hood because that stuff always becomes matted and unkempt fairly quickly. Hood is generously sized. Arm length is very generous. In fact, if you're 5' 6" or shorter you may find the sleeves to be too long. Only dislike is the velcro that secures the flap over the zipper. I suspect the velcro will quickly collect hair, fur, and fuzz, and will look shabby quickly. Metal snaps would have been a much better option. Otherwise the coat seems very well made, and I expect it will last many years. I should add that the coat is a charcoal/slate color - not black. I actually prefer this color as it doesn't show fur and fuzz as obviously as pure black, but others may be disappointed. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This Columbia jacket is heavy and warm. I think it would withstand any weather. It is waterproof and windproof and I didn't feel cold at all wearing outside in 30 degrees with wind, but haven't had a chance to try in colder temps. The hood is very good fit, not too big or hanging over my head (I have a smaller head) and not too small. The awesome thing is the arm cuffs have a soft fleece cuff with thumbhole cutout. My favorite part. Pockets have soft fleece lining. There is a inner silver reflective lining that uses your own body heat to make it warmer.Unfortunately I am returning it because it is a bit bulky and quite heavy. It is dark gray instead of black, I could live with that. I am 5'4", 140 lbs and smaller frame. I bought the medium but it is too large on me and a small would have worked better. If I can't find another suitable coat, I will buy this again in size small.Please mark helpful if this helped you in any way. Thank you!
