I have been reading many reviews of Mordenmiss products lately because I like the look and style of the clothes, but I have been left wondering, who are the people who are writing the reviews? They are such ardent fans. Is it real? So I ordered this jacket and the harem pants Mordenmiss sells to find out more about fit and hoping they were as great as everyone was saying.The quality is good, the fabric has a decent heft, and I was pleased with the color, which was very similar to the color on my monitor. The jacket had an unpleasant odor, which I hope would have gone away with a wash. The sizing I found to be enormous - refer to the images I posted. I am 5'5", typically 125 lbs, but right now am about 140 lbs. halfway through a pregnancy. I ordered a medium, based on other reviewers and the measurements listed. Some Chinese sized clothing ends up being too tight in the shoulders and arms for me. Not the case here. The jacket is supposed to be loose fitting below the chest, but it was like a huge tent on me from top to bottom. Even if I pressed and starched it, the drape would not have improved enough for it to be flattering on me.Conclusion - I may have had better results sizing down, but the jacket would have required pressing/starching in any size to be flattering and even close to the way it looks on the model. I will be returning it.
Perfect Lightweight Cover

I Love it. I purchased this item to wear as a light weight cover/jacket. The weight is perfect for a cool evening or an air conditioned office. I wear size 1x and I am 5'3" and the fit is perfect. I am even considering wearing it buttoned up with leggings and flat. I bought three colors to see which I liked best. I decided to keep all 3.

While the body is just about right (only a tiny fraction tight across the back), the sleeves are definitely too narrow. The cut will work best on women who have normal/skinny arms; if your arms are muscular/thick like mine, this company's clothes probably aren't for you. Most clothing designers/manufacturers work off a base pattern, which allows us to reliably expect the same fit across all the company's clothes. I'd have to step up two sizes to get the arms to fit nicely, by which point the jacket body will just swamp me, which means I can expect the same proportions in anything else I'd order from Mordenmiss. Bummer.That said, I love the color and cut so much, and I fortunately have the skills to adapt this, rather than bother with sending it back. I'm mid-plan to dismantle the sleeves, lower the armscye by about an inch, and add a gusset to the sleeves, once I find a nice cotton-linen in a color that complements the deep teal. The jacket sleeves currently end just shy of my wrist bone, but I prefer about an inch longer, so I may dismantle the cuffs and extend them a little, too.I'm used to some fashion designers making sleeves too close-fitting for those of us cursed with the genetics for muscular/thick arms, but I'd been hoping that such a generously-cut coat would have generously-cut sleeves, too. Disappointing to discover this wasn't so.

I think this top/jacket is adorable! I happened to order it at the same time as a great pair of brown tie-dye leggings that look great with it and, once it gets chilly, I'm looking forward to wearing them both with my knee-high brown boots. This is very artsy feeling but well made and attractive, as long as that's your style. If you're looking for a tailored look this isn't it.

Oh my goodness, this dress is SO CUTE and so comfy. I am 5'4" 135lb, ordered the large and it's perfect, nice and roomy. A tad short to wear as a dress for me, but black leggings work well, and I could wear as a jacket with jeans as the weather gets cooler.The last button on the dress is about 8" from the bottom, which I find awkward, so I will probably put a stitch there to close it up.I absolutely adore Mordenmiss clothing, everything I own from them is so unique, stylish and comfortable, LOVE this brand, so happy that Amazon carries them and that a lot of their stuff is Prime.

I love this shirt! I have it in 5 colors! I wash in cold and hang dry to prevent shrinking and so far the fabric has held up beautifully. I am a 16-18 and 42DD and the XL fits exactly right. I wear this 3-4 times/week! When it arrived it was a little crisp but it softens and drapes beautifully once you wear it a bit. pockets are a little high but that's ok. one of the shirts has a loose button but that is an easy fix. it's a heavy-ish linen so I have been wearing it in cold and warm weather. I roll up the sleeves for a 3/4 length. it is actually very flattering and I wear over the long Mordenmiss summer sleeveless tank with handkerchief hem

It's large, but is supposed to be. I wear a 16 and mine fit big as it should have. As a once small woman who is now big, I get frustrated with buying big clothes that are boring and frumpy. I like these because they are a lot of material, and big and baggy, but are interesting to look at a figure out. And, given the reasonable price, I wasn't expecting much. But this is actually very well made--in comparison, I usually shop Nordstrom and was super impressed with the quality of these garments. We'll see how they do after a wash. BTW, this is not a summer linen. It's very heavy and thick and the color is really neat--great, unique dye lot.
You'll not be disappointed!

I've ordered several items from Mordenmiss and have never been disappointed. This garment is no exception to that. I am delighted with the color, the cut, and the weight of the fabric. It is very well made, no hanging threads or any such nonsense. I will continue to order from this designer and I highly recommend that you do as well. You will not be disappointed. The first time I ordered an item from Mordenmiss I was contacted by email to find out what US size clothing I wore so that they could make sure that the garment I ordered would fit me well. I've never had this experience before! So rest assured that not only the garments are exceptional; the customer service is as well.
