Runs large, looks very frumpy on, not warm enough

This was very oversized for me, Iâm 5 foot four and roughly 140 pounds. And I bought the size medium. It runs large. Also it looked sloppy and not fitted. Also not warm enough for a ski trip. I returned it. Please click the helpful button if this helped you in any way.

Fabulous winter coat, but runs large

Originally I ordered a size L, which is the size I wear in every other coat I own. Many reviews said this coat runs large, and I agree. The Large was enormous on me, so I returned for a Medium. The M fit much better, but it was still a bit bulky on me. I was a bit self conscious about the bulkiness, since I am bulky on my own without the coat.I ordered the New Taupe color, which was a fabulous neutral olive green.This is a great coat, and you canât go wrong with North Face products.I had to return because I ciuld not justify keeping a coat if I did not love the fit...I wish it had worked out!

Absolutely love this coat! It fits great, not too snug where my middle-aged love handles are on display like some of the more fitted parkas, but the coat still gives you a shape and roomy enough to layer if needed. Very comfortable. I wore it in NYC with 40 degree weather and it was sometimes a bit too warm for me so I would just unzip the coat and wear it open. Lightweight, doesn't add a lot of bulk. I'm 5'4" and 188 lbs. The length hits just below my butt. I listened to the other reviewers and went down a size. I bought a size L but I usually wear an XL in coats.
Great jacket

I live in Portland Oregon and seriously this is the only jacket I need. It's great in the rain with nice insulation so that I stay warm as well as dry. It is also long enough so that my seat doesn't get wet. The style is generous enough to accomodate a sweater, and being able to cinch the waist gives some shape. Sleeves are a bit long, and that is the only down side I have found. Delivery was fast and seamless.
Terrible Zipper

Seems like a really nice zipper but I had to exchange the first one because I could not zip. I received the second very quickly. After a bit of work I got it to zip up but when I zipped it down I could not get the zipper to come apart. Returning yet again and will buy a different jacket.
