The product was bought as a gift for my mother in law in January. It worked great for these last few weeks until the first wash happened two days ago per label instructions, when the entire bottom seam burst open and all the feathers invaded the washing machine. Amazon didn't provide a return label, and EB is saying we are not taking this return as it was bought through Amazon. Trying to figure this out as I'm writing this review.
A very good jacket with some drawbacks (for me)

PROS:* great color (muted/soft purple)* solid construction* very packable (drawstring bag included and conveniently attached to the hook at the back of the neck)* good fit* water resistant/repellant (not sure how much rain it could handle, but it did well for short intervals in the less-than-a-downpour rain* 2 zippered pockets on the outside (roomy but not too large, easy access) + 2 deep inside pockets (big enough for a phone, checkbook, passport, etc. and deep enough to feel secure about nothing falling out)CONS:*I would have liked it just a bit warmer. However, I understand that if it had more filling, it would be less compressible; so it's a trade-off. What worked best for me on chillier days was simply to wear multiple layers underneath.It's possible that there's a jacket out there that has all of the features I like about this one AND added warmth, but based on the research I did, none in this price range.FIT:I'm 5'6" and 110 lbs. I normally wear a S (4-6). Based on the reviews, I opted for a MEDIUM. At first I was sorry I did, because I thought that it looked too loose on me. But when I realized I needed to layer underneath, I was glad for the extra room. Personally, I hate it when outerwear feels too tight and constricting; the extra room allowed for both warmth and freedom of movement. And ultimately, feeling warm and comfortable caused me to not mind the slightly less form-fitting look.Sleeve length was just fine, and I liked where the jacket fit on the hip (not too long, not too short).All in all, given the price and the pros and cons above, and consider this a great value. There may be something out there that has all of these features plus the added warmth, but not in this price range, so I'm happy with this compromise.
Perfect lightweight jacket for cold weather

This jacket was perfect for my trip to Peru where the weather was under 50 degrees. I wanted something lightweight that packed tight but still kept me warm. This jacket did just that. I have wider hips than most so it was snug at the bottom of the jacket but fit like a glove everywhere else.

I like everything about it. I ordered the Petite, it's an XL, & it fits perfectly. The sleeves fit as well & that's unusual to find. I am only 4'8" about 130 lbs. It's all I could hope for. I really did want the darker gray but corrected my order too late. This one matches the silver in my hair. It's so light. It came in an envelope right in my mail box. You don't even know you have it on. Can't judge for Minnesota cold yet but I layer & ride in a car all the time anyway. I love it!I can't wait to wear it for Thanksgiving. My daughter has one nearly identical that's a Calvin Kleine. Hers seems to look mor boxy. This one has very nice flattering lines to it. I tried to add a photo but this site wouldn't let me.

I got this jacket to wear under my uninsulated ski shell. The jacket has a flattering shape and doesn't look bulky. The sleeves are slightly on the loose side but I'd rather that than too tight. I haven't field tested it yet but I'm hoping it will be warm enough. The color is beautiful and matches my skhoop down mini skirt surprisingly well (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B078J62Q5T/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I am 5'7", 135lbs and the medium fits well if slightly loose. I also tried the small, which also would have worked for a more fitted look but since I'm planning to use it for snowsports I wanted to make sure there was plenty of freedom to move. If you are between a s/m I would say go for the small.
Wonderful Down Sweater

I love this jacket. It is light and appears to be week made and for the price WELL worth it. Except for brand name u wouldnât know it isnât a patagucci. I am returning the medium for s large. I am 5â4ââ weigh 165 ..(very small up top). it for me perfect... however I needed to return as I am using for sport (backpacking) and felt I needed more room for bulky layers. Ordered the large it will be here soon.

I use this jacket mostly when I go to the gym during this colder season in Northern California. Itâs lightweight, warm with goose down and easy to roll. Fits well in my gym bag. Itâs also reasonably priced and arrived on time for this fall to winter. I like the zippered pockets and specially the inner pockets for travel.

I love the Eddie Bauer jacket that this one is ALMOST the same as. The older one has a beautiful rich purple color and some trim that is majenta. The new one fits well,but is more frosty looking. They should have kept the two large inside pickets because they are good for IPAD and such when I walk or travel.
