Very Flattering Fit - True to Size

I was looking for a pair of faded black 90s vintage-style straight leg jeans, however, I wanted to ensure that the cut was flattering on my figure. I read reviews about a few different Levi's styles and decided to try out the Wedgie jean because the description and reviews said it was more fitted in the waist and thigh than other straight-leg "mom" jeans. As this is my first pair of Levi's in a few years, I used the fit tool on the manufacturer's website to determine what size to order, which directed me to a 26. When I received the jeans, I grew concerned because they looked TINY compared to my other jeans of the same size, however, once I put them on, they fit perfectly and they do stretch. I'm actually glad they looked tiny because I've tried on many styles of straight leg vintage-style "mom" jeans and most tend to be more loose-fitting through the hip and thigh, which doesn't look good on my "pear-shape" figure I think these appeared tiny because the rise is 11", so they come up to my natural waistline (I am 5'4") and I love how they look! These are now my favorite go-to jean since they are much more alluring than the rest of my straight leg jeans.

Slightly shorter than expected, but these fit great just like my other wedgie jeans! Order your normal size, they will be tight at first but they loosen just enough for a perfect fit after a wear or two!
Too much stretch

I was hoping these would work for me. I have a cute pair of Leviâs without stretch and hoped this white pair would fit nicely too. Nope, theyâre super stretchy, like WAY too stretchy. I have a long torso, but the waist sits up high and gave me a big pooch, werenât flattering at all. Iâm 5ft, 125 and the length was too long as well. (I figured, I would have just cut them shorter.)
They get so baggy!

At first the fit was perfect. Iâm either a 26 or 27. Got the 27 and now I wish I hadnât! Wore them for a few hours and they stretched out in the waist and thighs. So baggy! Super bummed cause I loved them when I first put them on.
Unflattering but great fabric

Pros: I love the stiff, retro fabric. The grey, textural color is interesting. I prefer this REAL denim to the lycra stuff. It's not at all uncomfortable like it sounds if you get the right size. Plain cotton denim actually feels better against your skin than the cotton/synthetic blends. Cons: Button fly does poof out on your stomach (unless you are emaciated) . The stiffness of the fabric doesn't lend itself to the wide, cropped leg style. It would probably look good on a tall, substantial woman, but it's overwhelming on my 5'4" 105 lb body.

These look so good. I got mine on the tighter side for me so I have to be mindful of what underwear I can wear these with, but they look so good. Perfect fitted vintage Levi look. The tear is in a good spot so you wonât stick your leg right through it on the first wear. Iâm a size 24 or 25 for reference, and the 24 fit closest to the way they did on the model in product image.

I had been looking at other colors in this style of Leviâs because I love the fit. I had been hoping some of the other options would drop in price because I didnât love the bow detail on this pair. Then I saw the review that the bows can easily be taken off and I ordered them! Such a helpful review! The bows are cute but not my style. After removing them I have an awesome pair of jeans that I got for a great price!
