Paper thin!

I was in search of a simple, yet figure flattering, soft black robe that was easily packable. I ordered more than a dozen from here (Natori, Aimado, Ekouaer, Fadshow, Alexander Del Rosa, Sioro) so I had several to compare/chose from! All were basically the same style and I wasn't concerned with price. Without question, as far as quality, the was the worst of the lot! Not sure how this has the all the 5-star reviews it has, or how it is priced as it is, but when it comes to this robe and the price- Natori must be living on its reputation!! The fit is fine and figure flattering, but the robe is paper thin, and not as soft or cool on the skin as any of the others listed above and all of those were 1/3 the price of this Natori! I'm usually not terribly harsh in my reviews but I just can't get past this at $98!! This has the feel of a $19 discount store robe, you know that feel, thin, cheap and like it will pill with multiple washings.** I rate the other as follows--Ekouaer and Fadshow tie for 1st- equally fabulous!!!- just slightly different styles. (A steal at $32 and $34 respectively! I kept one of each and will definitely order a few extra!)-The Aimado and Alexander Del Rosa were also nicely made, nice fabric, just not as figure flattering as the Ekouar and Fadshow for me.-The Sioro was not soft at all, but still better overall quality than the soft Natori .
By far my favorite.

This is by far one of the best robes I've ever purchased. Very well made and so very comfortable. I'm 5' 8" and this robe falls approx. 2" above my ankle, a perfect length in my opinion. It runs true to size but is roomy without being oversized. Three-quarter sleeves with plenty of room. I purchased a robe very-very similiar to this one at a high end department store for twice the price and this one is still my favorite. It's also very similiar to a robe sold through Victoria's Secret, but this one is better quality. I ordered the gray and liked it so much that I ordered another one in the black. Flattering fit with casual sexy drape and far from being a "frumpy" robe. Light enough for warm weather and and yet warm enough to wear in a Michigan winter with a nice pair of lounging pjs. You won't be disappointed.
Meh. I wouldn't recommend it. Find something better.

I have sensitive skin and this robe often feels scratchy to me. It's not overtly scratchy, but I can definitely feel the 35% polyester. Also, after only 2 months of wearing it, there are already pills on the backside where it gets the most wear. And I don't even wear it that often. Another complaint--people are right when they say the fit is boxy. But then I wouldn't suggest ordering a size up because if you do you'll probably find that the bottom half isn't generous enough to fully cover you.I don't generally write reviews, however even $79.95 for one of the lesser colors is too much $$ for this robe. It looks and feels cheap and I wouln't recommend it.
Poor Quality, Doesn't Last and Overpriced

MY ORIGINAL REVIEW IN AUGUST 2014: A very smooth, comfy, ankle-length robe. It's nice for chilly nights, sitting out on your balcony or just lounging around the house. I ordered the Heather Grey and it is beautiful! I love the length and the convenience of having pockets. In addition to the belt, there are ties on the inside of the robe to help it stay closed. While the size is accurate for me (I ordered a Medium -- I'm 5'7" and a size 6), it does look a little frumpy and slightly larger than I would like. Since I only intend on wearing it around the house, no big deal. Overall nice robe, perfect weight... but I did deduct a star because it is very overpriced.UPDATE: Very disappointed! Two months and less than 10 washes later, my robe has a hole in it. The material is obviously not good quality and doesn't hold up very well. For the price, you would think one could get at least a solid year before any wear & tear. I would not recommend this robe at all! It's overpriced, very frumpy looking and now I know it is made of poor materials.
not worth the high price tag!

I bought this robe because the color was beautiful and looked chic online. I thought about it for a long time since it's over $80 with tax, but I finally decided I would wear it everyday and I wanted something I would love. It showed up, wadded up in a cheap plastic bag. It is heather brown, not creamy cashmere. It's see through, are you kidding me, very cheap material. The sleeves are actually really short, maybe elbow length, and I'm petite. I decided to return it, at the end of the day, it's not worth that much money.

For the price (around $45) I was a little surprised at how light the material is.This is definitely a summer/warmer months robe for more of a cover than a warm layer. It does not include a belt like a typical robe. Instead, it has two skinny ties on the inside. One is located at the waist on the left side and the other is located right under the armpit on the inside of the robe on the right side.I'm not 100% loving this robe to be honest. It's very basic, although it's very soft material, which is great, but I'm not sure how it will wash. It'll likely need to be air dried.I was hoping I would find a thicker robe available on here, but so far I've only found the terry cloth or microfiber robes which are not what I'm looking for.
Love This Robe!

FINALLY a robe that fits! I wear between a 14 and 16 and ordered the XL. It does run a smidge big, and probably could have gotten away with a L, but I like the roominess. The fabric is super nice, and I feel luxurious in it. As far as the sheerness, if you hold it up to light, you'll be able to see through it slightly. But it's a robe, not a dress to wear to dinner, so that doesn't take away from this robe one bit for me. Once I get more coins together (because this robe isn't really, er, budget friendly) I'm gonna order another one!

Looks nothing like the picture. The robe is essentially a gauze material. Very see-through, too large, and no shape. I might as well have been wearing a sheer muumuu. Very disappointed - based on the picture and price I had higher expectations. I've returned this to Amazon.
really happy

Overall this is a really good quality robe. It is super soft and definitely serves its purpose - I especially love the fact that it is cotton and that it is not too thick. This robe is perfect for summer or if you live in a warm climate. I bought it in a light pink color, and the only reason it is not getting the full 5 stars from me is because it is see-threw. If I am wearing just underwear underneath it, I do not feel comfortable opening the door or walking my dog outside - just in case the neighbors are around. So if you are planning to get the pink color, just know that you will most likely have to wear PJs underneath it (if you plan to wear the robe in front of others). I love hanging out in my PJs and I go to the mailbox with robe on etc - if you plan to wear this in privacy then its definitely a 5 star product.

At 5ft 9in, 140 lbs, a medium is usually perfect for me, and this was no exception. The gray is nice if you have something brightly coloured underneath. The material is not as heavy as some have indicated.

I love the way that the fabric feels and hangs, although wonder about longterm use with frequent washing.

Iâve been wanting a long, thin, black robe that I can pack easily for vacations. I havenât had good luck so I decided to splurge the $80 on this one. So worth it. This robe is flattering and exactly what Iâve been looking for.

I had to send it back. Well made, however one of the pockets already had a hole in it (2 stars removed) and that was right after it arrived. The main reason for return however, was the size was a little on the big side (1 star removed) and the sleeves were not exactly what I was looking for. (That is not the products fault). I should have read the description better.

I *LOVE* this robe. It is soft and feels cuddly. But looks like a million bucks! I own several of them.

After reading a review that was unsatisfactory, I almost didn't order the Shangri-La robe. I'm so happy that I did! This robe is lightweight and perfect for spring/summer wear. The fit is perfect, the sleeves just long enough that they don't get in the way, and the inside tie and belt work well to keep unwanted exposure at bay. A long black robe is a rarity, and if you are looking for a great robe, I highly recommend that you order it!

It fits a bit loose and the belt doesn't latch on but its a very soft fabric and i wanted something with a more breathable fabric especially when i put it on out of the shower and am wet.

The texture is very fine and the fabric is so soft. I'm not a fan of the flimsy belt, but otherwise it's fantastic.
