Feminine robe, cool, cotton, not frilly, I love it.

I so love this Kimono robe. It is light weight cotton. It is airy. If you hold it up, you can see dim light through the material.This giving you a gauge on the thickness of the cotton. I love it, it's not cumbersome. It's meant for wear, it's not trendy teen.It's not synthetic, it's real cotton. The more I wear it, the softer it becomes. It is a lovely shade of Jade green, with clean whitefloral and bows within the material, it is not screen printed on. It is sewn very well. The seams, trim are sewn firm, no complaints.Inside left there is a inner tie that ties without outer right tie - then is another two ties outer, left side wraps over, you tie on far right front.It's hard to explain, the photo doesn't show it tied. One pocket on the outer left side. It doesn't have to be tied obviously.For the traditional Kimono look, yes it is to be tied.Where it shows the green robe, the ' tie loosely" tied - Mine tied as intended, both inner and outer ties, tiedThe tied ties are at my bottom right rib.The photo, it appears to tie low on the hip, that the robe is long. It's not tied low, it's rib level on me.I am 5'4, The robe is 39 inches from shoulder seam to bottom. I am chest 34. The robe tied, the bottomjust touches the top of my knee cap. Perfect, it doesn't get in the way of movement.I purchased Medium. It fits me great. It's not loose,it's not tight. The sleeve end sits comfortably 5 inches from my wrist bone.The sleeve is not big bell, it's 16 inch opening. It's a comfortable opening. The sleeves do not require foldingor pushing up, they are not bothersome while applying makeup, or facial treatments, and or while active.I've been looking for a robe, light, cotton, air dries on it's own, for soo long. Finally found.Thank you Gang Yan ( label inside) I like very much.
Cute and comfy, but not even remotely sexy

Very cute and good quality. The only thing that slightly bugs me is that when you tie it on, the neck opening is extremely small. Not to the point that it's uncomfortable, but it just looks a bit uptight. Also, there is no way to draw the string snugly around the waist, so your figure will be completely hidden. For some that might be good. I don't regret buying it, but the style is just a little less loungy and feminine than I would have liked. Great if you're elderly or misshapen, or want to send your boyfriend/husband the hint that you're not in the mood tonight. Or maybe if you're home alone and want to feel comfy. I'm still satisfied overall, because it was inexpensive, and I have money left to buy something else for when I want to feel sexy.Buy a size up. I'm 5'6, athletic 130 lbs. with slightly broad shoulders and 34 in chest. Usually I would wear a small for something like this, but medium was a perfect fit for me in this robe. Not at all too roomy. Just right.Also, I should note that I bought the green, and the color is pretty much exactly what you see in the picture. It's a nice color, and a big part of why I bought this.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It is lightweight, but dense enough fabric, combined with the very prettyl print, to provide good coverage. I like the modest neckline, and the length is right to my knees, rather than the usual mid thigh of summer robes. I would not have minded another inch or two, but I am 5'6" and these are Asian sizes. This is a Large. I generally wear a size 10. I am posting a pic to illustrate fit, there is not a lot of excess room, and this was their largest size. The packaging said not to put it in the dryer, so this is after wash and air dry.

I love everything about this. My only concern and reason for the 4 stars is that it says "dry clean only" on the bag it comes in. Really????? That will be a bummer if I can't wash it. Time will tell.
