The heaviest robe I've found. Might be too heavy for some women, but is perfect for Minnesota winters. I am 5'4" and 170 lbs. I bought size XXL and it's plenty roomy. Goes almost to the floor, but doesn't drag at all. It wraps all the way around me and I don't get a chill from drafts in the house. The sleeves have a cuff that, when rolled over, makes an extra layer at the wrist, and is still a full length sleeve. As others have said, the fabric is not very soft, but it suits me because I was shopping for something I could wear to sit at the computer, next to a window, and not get cold in the winter. Definitely won't wear this in warmer weather. With the hood up, it's almost too warm.

I really wanted a short one with a hood but you can't find them anywhere! The place I usually get them from don't sell them with hoods so I got this one. I read reviews that say it's too heavy... no! All the Turkish Robes I have bought in the past were heavier! The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because this one did run a lot larger than expected, it didn't have an inside tie, I am used to a heavier robe with a more tailored fit and there is no option for a monogram. Still it's a nice robe with a hood and it is a great value for the price! I am willing to trade all of that for a hood this time!

This robe is everything! It is so warm, I feel guilty having it when my husband is cold. I will have to find one for him.We live in Nairobi and there is no heat in our house. It is 45-50 every morning outside and cooler than you would like inside.This robe makes all the difference.
Snuggly, cozy, warm, but too heavy to wash without heavy duty commercial laundry.

I love the creature comfort of this heavy, snuggly robe, the warmth it yields by insulating body heat, and how it dries after a shower when the towel just won't remove any more water.The fifth star did not appear only because of its weight: I have to take the robe to a special commercial laundry after it broke the commercial washing machine of my usual cleaners.

Was afraid it would be too heavy. Wasn't. She loves it. But it IS heavy-weight so expect that.

Nice bathrobe, although it does feel a little "too heavy" almost. I guess if you are in a very cold location it may be perfect though. It definitely also is not "luxurious" - it's decent quality but not something that you want to give to your wife for your anniversary ;-)

I should have read the negative reviews. It is nothing like what I expected. as in the pic it looks lush and soft. However this robe feels rough, very hard and super heavy! Something my Grandmother would have had during World War II. I thought to spend more money and get superb quality (4x what other robes cost!) but this is seriously a joke!!...and of course going back!
