Can't say enough good things about this robe!

Love the fabric, the color and the best part is that it buttons. It is so hard to find a robe that does not zip, snap, or tie and I was thrilled to find this. It it is very plush and soft with generous pockets. Only things I would change: It was very large but I can live with that and I wish it came in more colors, i.e. maybe blue or other pastels. I still give it a "5".

Cute but sheds like crazy

Love the style of the robe. Had to size up because my size wasn't available, but that was okay since I mainly use it after showing while I am getting ready in the morning. The first time I washed it the washer was full of pink fuzz balls. I put it in the dryer and had to clean out the vent twice because so much fuzz was coming off. While wearing it after the first wash, I continued to leave little pink balls of fuzz everywhere. Washed a second time and the fuzz is still coming off like crazy. Hoping eventually it will stop after a few washes.

Almost exactly what I was looking for....to replace one I've had for 20+ years. These chenille housecoats are not easy to come by. It's a little heavier than what I wanted...but it will do just fine. It's well made and very comfortable. For reference...I'm 5' 6" and 130#...and the medium fits great. I washed before wearing and put in the dryer with just air....to collect all the lint that it was shedding. I hope this one last 20 years.

Baggy, loose, heavy - and comfy!

Definitely don't buy this product if you are looking for something sexy; but if you are looking for something cozy and modest enough to wear in front of the 12 year old neighbor boy this is the product! I love it. I've worn it every day since I got it. I can make pancakes for my family on Sunday morning in this and feel comfortable. The short sleeves are nice; I can cook and do dishes without constantly rolling up my sleeves. It's very heavy, but I personally like that.

NDK chenille robe it shrinks, needs better finishing...poor sizing

NDK New York chenille robe knee length, roseIt runs extremely large, but after you wash it and dry it it shrinks badly, make sure that you get your size or a bit larger... needs washing alone...a lot of lint, same with your dryer... the buttons are poorly put in line and spaced, I have to sew them all over, poor crafting, and giving two stars because the material is soft and the color is beautiful, I won’t buy from this company again.

Bad design

First purchased a medium, returned thinking it was too small. Large consists of 4 pieces of straight fabric, front panels have some curve at the bottom. But, because the button holes are on the inside of the trim, as you button the robe it turns into a mummy wrap. The fabric is not heavy but is thick making the side seams that are under the arm opening feel like rocks. I washed it thinking it would soften up. Nope. So, I cut the seams off under the arms and only button the top button. In order for this to fit properly it needs to be totally re-designed. Wish I had not kept it. It also shrinks quite a bit so my usual medium size would need to be an extra large at least.

OK but could be great

I love a button front robe. I have always found belted robes annoying because you have to keep adjusting. It is very hard to find a chenille robe with buttons so I was very happy to find this one. The styling was exactly what I was looking for and though I really prefer white, the color isn't bad. My only complaint is the button holes. they are too far from the edge of the front of the robe. I guess you have to wear it to see the problem and the manufacturer did not test it. When the robe is buttoned the front panel curls because the button holes are too far over. If the button holes were 1/4 inch to the left or if the buttons were larger the front would not curl and it would be fine. Other than this I am very happy with the robe.

A short robe -- it works

I'm baffled as to why short-sleeved/mid-length button robes seem to be in short supply [pun intended]. This one will win few fashion awards (the huge pockets are way over the top for this design) but it's the best option I found at this price point. For those of us who overheat in fleece/long sleeves and find zippers a pain, you can certainly go pricier, but this is a decent value.
