I bought this for easy hospital/post hospital wear . The belt wrap is sewn in at the back and long enough to to front tie as robe covers front well, though I did buy a size larger just to be sure as I'd be sitting. Pockets are nicely in front so as not to lose items or wrinkle items in them if the pockets were side seamed ones. Sleeves are nicely wide enough for IV line, too, and not too long.
