Huge

This robe was Huge. I'm a woman of above average height & build, 5'7, 160lb who typically wears a size 12-14 so I ordered the large. But I could have fit 2 of me in it. The pockets on the sides ended up completely in the back once robe was gathered & tied. There were no ties on the inside of the robe. The hood was too small in my opinion considering the size & volume of the rest of the robe, the hood, with any movement would fall back because it didn't quite come over the head enough. The material appeared to be of decent enough quality but it was thin and not very soft. This type of terry cotton fabric typically softens up with washing but I can’t say whether that’s true or not for this particular robe since I sent it back ASAP because of the sizing problem.

My all time favorite robe. Thick

My all time favorite robe. Thick, lush, warm. And covers all of me. I am a hair over 5'6, and this robe is to the floor, not to the tops of my feet, the floor. I love it anyway. The sleeves are extra long, and for me that is hard to find, I have broad shoulders for a woman, and most long sleeved items end at my wrists, if I'm lucky, the sleeves on this robe extend to my fingertips. I WANTED an over sized robe, so this is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. So keep that in mind when buying it.

Got what I paid for I guess

I wanted to love this robe, and I don’t HATE it, but I foresee replacing it within a year- which I’m not thrilled about. First off it is 100% cotton and the color (purple) is beautiful and accurately shown in the picture. However, it’s thin (somewhat expected), and the quality it lacking. With light wear and only a couple of washes, the threads are starting to come out in different locations on the robe (not just the seams); I treat all of my clothes well, past robes did not have this problem when the same level of care was used. It is not “unraveling” per say, but it appears that it soon may be. The cut is odd, it fits perfect up top, but the bottom tapers inward so my legs barely stay covered, most robes do the opposite and taper like an upright triangle or stay straight throughout. This will suffice for now, but I guess I will have to pay more for a higher quality brand in the future.

Easily Snags - You get what you pay for...

This robe is a heavy and comfortable to wear terry. I like the extra warmth that the hood provides. Hoods are a rarity to find. The one drawback to this type of material is it snags. One does not cut these snags or you may eventually ruin the integrity of the robe. If you cut them off, the robe looks horrid with all the loose threads. It was too late to return the robe by the time I decided that I was unhappy with it. I purchased a crochet hook to pull the threads to the inside to hide the threads. This would be a nicer robe if it was sort of a Sweatshirt Terry.6/11/17 UPDATEThe robe continues to snag. I cannot keep up with pulling the threads through to the other side anymore or ruining any integrity that it may have by cutting the threads off. The robe is just a thread hanging material that I am embarrassed to wear. I DO NOT recommend buying this robe. It is a waste of money. .

Single most important article in my wardrobe

This is the perfect robe for my needs. I am disabled so when I get out of the shower I put on my terry cloth robe instead of using towels to dry. It's generous size is absorbent, soft I've seen some reviewers say the robe is light/thin or poor quality. This is not true in my opinion. It is a perfect weight to dry coming out of the shower. The hood helps dry my hair which is down to my waist without having to handle another towel and turban it up over my head saving painful, oxygen depleting movement. It's going to be lovely and warm in the winter, it protects my modesty, it looks expensive, and it's forgiving If I gain or lose a few pounds. My best advice is know why you were purchasing a robe to begin with. What is its primary purpose? My robe is not to be used as a lounging or smoking jacket, it is not to be used in The Art of Seduction( I have other robes for that) it is a functioning tool that makes a daily task easier. The robe is generous so I would not order a size larger. I would recommend this robe to others based on comfort and function and I definitely would purchase this robe again.

I ordered a 1x/2x hooded robe because I wanted the length. Yes, it is huge on me. (Right now I am 5'7" and 180 pounds.) This robe hits my ankles. I was not looking for a form fitting robe. I just wanted something that would be absorbent after getting out of the tub and/or pool. This is a warm and cozy robe, soft, for terry on both sides (my last robe that is 14 years old was terry on the inside and velour on the outside, and wasn't nearly as absorbent as this one. The color isn't as light as the image, but it is still light purple, so all is well. I haven't washed it yet, so if there are any changes, I'll update this.

Absorbent but not pretty

Cherry Valley Judy

Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2018

If you were expecting a beautiful soft luxurious robe you will not get it with this. If you were expecting an absorbent robe you will get that. I had to wash it and dry it 10 times to keep the lint from just coming off on my hand. Even now after fluffing it and drying it after the pool each day it still feels the lint bin. But when I get out of the pool it absorbs like a sponge. So for me it's worth the money. If you wanted pretty you probably won't get that. After the washing needed just to be able to use it without being covered in lent it already looked older. But I do expect to get my money's worth out of it and it gets three stars for its warmth and absorbency. It is -2 Stars for the lint it creates and the fact this causes the robe to age prematurely. For the price I expected luxurious and simply got functional.

Very warm and comfortable. Sizing is generous, I ordered a 3 x thinking it might be in the smaller side.It is actually a little too big. I normally wear a 2x for everything. Will wash , it may shrink slightly in the dryer.Very happy with this purchase. Recommended.
